    You can still get Master PDF Editor 4 directly from code-industry (the makers), version 4 is free for non-commercial use, it has more features than the 'demo' version 5, and doesn't add the watermark when saving.
    You can read about it here, and there are links to the downloads (directly from code-industry.net) at the bottom:

    Thanks, Rob. I never had to go beyond PDFsam. But it's good to know the options

    @8:24 ... or look for a FOSS alternative instead of paying 70 bucks for a plugin, even thoug it is way cheaper than Andobe Acrobat. There is no schame in being a cheepskate. ;)

    So I guess this video proves that there is no actual PDF editor for Linux.
    PDF sucks.

    Wow, you're already on LO 6.3! Respect!
    I sometimes use Gimp for PDF's. Only drawback is it only saves page(s) as image. So, the saved image cannot be edited easily with another program.
    I will definitely check out LO Draw, how that program will save a PDF. Does the text remain text, or will it be converted as an image?
    But anyway, thanks for posting this!
    PS: I also used PDF Shuffler in the past to rearrange pages. I'm stunned that doesn't work anymore. (Why else the name? ;) )

      @Gert PDF Shuffler has a fork: www.linuxuprising.com/2018/12/pdfarranger-merge-split-rotate-crop-or.html

      Can you not print your image from Gimp as a PDF?

    • @GertBoers
      @GertBoers 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AMindInOverdrive Yes you can, but all text is being concerted to image. You cannot select the text from that generated PDF.
      With LibreOffice, when you export as PDF, you can select the text as text. For me that's a great benefit.

      @@serge5046 Thanks Serge. I've missed this message when you wrote it.

    Welcome back! Really enjoy your videos about Linux tools, free and otherwise! Keep them coming! Lots of us like to get stuff done in Linux regardless of the tool or whether or not it's free!

    PDF Shuffler has been renamed PDF Arranger. I know that confused me for a bit trying to pull it out of the AUR.

    @10:20 Yes dude, and you can install MS corefonts or MS clearfonts by using a gihub script.
    @14:29 That is only one aspect of it if at all. The more important aspect is to take full control over your software experience.
    @14:33 I once donated to Kubuntu but I am not willing to support a plugin that is not FOSS. :)

    Wow, that's very nice! We can generate PDFs from the terminal (Vim) with markdown or LaTeX, and then rearrange them with these tools. At job I have to use Adobe Reader on a Windows PC and it's sooo bad, bloated, slow and buggy... I will try to install PDF Arranger tomorrow. Thanks a lot for this video.

    The program has the best OCR recognition and the optimized PDF function is very good to save storage Space.
    Delaware Trick workes also fine by the order process. I use it on Mac and Linux.
