No one is preventing non-White citizens from getting an ID, they’re choosing not to but do you see the other point I’m about to make? They say it’s racist cuz they know based on stats that non-Whites are less likely to have ID’s and then project racism onto the people who want to require ID’s for voting.
However, if I acknowledge another stat, like the fact White demographics are shrinking, I’m now a racist? 🥴

No one is required to own an ID. You are ONLY required to show police your ID if they have reasonable, articulable, suspicion that you have committed a crime. For example, a passenger in a vehicle who is wearing a seatbelt and doing nothing illegal can refuse to provide ID. Cops always ask for ID. It's a power thing, and they will object, lying to you, saying if a police officer asks (they usually say ask, because they can't demand) for your ID you have to provide it. WRONG.

In addition to voting, it is also a right to keep and bear arms in this country. In order to purchase a firearm, you must show ID and submit to a background check. The very simple requirements that Republicans want all citizens to adhere to when voting are: You must be at least 18 years of age, you’re registered to vote, you’re a citizen of the state you are voting in, and you must be alive when you voted. Pretty simple and logical requirements.

And so we should eliminate all forms of identification….I came here looking for a genuine reason for why it is more challenging for black and latino voters to get access to voter IDs so I can understand the problem better. Except that some older people, rural people and poor people can't get a driver's license. On top of that, intentionally removing voting locations to cause people to travel further without the option to mail in is suppression also. Only having the locations to get these IDs in specific locations makes it more difficult. Charging for these IDs makes it difficult. Sometimes registering for voting is made intentionally difficult. And they put it right inside those "voter ID" laws to hide their suppression.
