I think MvG's 114 average against Barney at the 2017 WC deserves at least an honorable mention. The averages in this video were done over 5, 8 and 9 legs. MvG held up a 114.05 average over THIRTY-TWO LEGS.
That was unbelievable. That match he finished with 90 by going 18 D18 D18, what a brilliant double double finish to cap off probably the best performance at the WC.
Damian Pałaszewski I watched this match countless times but I've watched just twice that D18 miss: the first time I saw it and while making this video. Too painful indeed 😂
Ya, it's like Sergei Bubka he pole vaulter who only increased his world record by 1cm every time to get the bonus ;-) Would have been incredible if he upped the record from 118 to 130 though... That would have made him a Bob Beamon.
The scary thing about the mvg match is if he had made that double and won the match with a 130+ average it would have been absolutely insane. I don't think there is anyone else in the planet that can pay like mvg when he is on
I have just begun throwing about 6 weeks ago and play cricket at least 6 days a week. Not to brag ... but I occasionally hit what I am throwing at (again, not bragging but we do need some context). Can someone please tell me if this could possibly be the result of practice alone?! Genetics? I hesitate to ask but must, ... magic?! F'n UNbelievable! I could watch over and over. Sean
The first leg between Lewis and Wright commentator says 'the best leg we've ever seen in the premier league'... Wrong. Barney vs Priestley in 2007 or 2008 had 4 180s in a row, they were both on 9 darters.
this is BS.... if you count a 1st to 4 singles match then you have to count Gary Anderson vs Jelle Klassen which is the highest set ever 132.4 with a 9 darter!
Actually there is a chance to have a higher average than 167. If your oponent starts a leg and hit a ninedarter while you throw 180 twice your average is 180. If this would happen in every leg in best of 7 match( I don't know if there are any shorter matches in pdc?) then the loser who hit 3 ninedarters and eight 180 (twice in each leg when his oponent hit a ninedarter) would generate the average 173,12. But as you said those were some inhuman performances 👍
Also take into consideration that Kim's average was based on just 5 legs or so. Not a lot of darts so a miss results in a big drop in average. For example if you miss a dart in the final of the worlds after 13 sets of playing, the drop in average is significantly less because the average then is based on far more darts

That's not to mention the fact that barney threw 109 avg in the same game and got beaten 6-2 in sets!!

That way Paul Lim looks during that last leg. What a fan of the game
Had to stop the video at 12:50. It's too painful watching this average going down

I think it's good that he missed so it's still beatable now . Matches like the Huybrechts one have that little bit extra then :)
Dito..funny that hybrechts could have set the highest average on tv, if he didnt miss...yes double 18

Omg yeah 😭😭
Imagine playing a 92 avg. and your opponent is more than 30 points better ;_;
means that in every dart, mvg scores 10 points more than Smith! in the end it makes a huge difference
On Average. MvG is on 102 after 9. With Smith sitting on 215 (MvG averaged 40 points more after 6 legs.
Lol, 15 years ago you would reach semi-finals Maybe even finals with 92 average!
@@marvik5371 really?

MvG should have had an avarage of 130 or more..
No one remembers that in 2010 Taylor averaged 118.66 against Painter in the U.K. Open
How the fuck do you remember???
9:51 surrenders at the first throw, what kind of athletes are these?????
he didnt surrender what r u on about
World champions 🤡
An example of weak will begins at 9 minutes, when the second player gets upset in advance with each throw and throws at random.
Great video :)
2016 van gerwin was unplayable
Such a Shane mvg missed that 36 when he had the chance 😭
The description - I do NOT own these clips.
That's all folks!
I thought nobody ever reads the description ahahah... If I have something to say, I write a comment and stick it as first comment
@@giacomopietrosanti-darts1195 lol OK mate. UtD
Best of 11 is the basic format. So I count after 6 winning legs. Record here MvG 137.

U must have great hand eye co ordination. Whats ur best leg in terms of darts thrown from 501?

Didn't wade and Taylor to ?
@@gingerrogers1448 correct but I think that was in the Matchplay?
Oh yes correct
Or when Scholten almost beat Taylor twice in the same season but in the end it were two draws
Update it for peters 123.5
8:14 Paul Hinks has to say game shot and the match huh?
It was considered as the first leg of a three-leg contest for the match
this is BS.... if you count a 1st to 4 singles match then you have to count Gary Anderson vs Jelle Klassen which is the highest set ever 132.4 with a 9 darter!
Is that a whole match of a televised tournament? Was there a record average in that match? Yes. So it's worth to be in the video.
The Klassen vs Gary isn't the highest set average ever.
This is pure insanity considering the highest average possible is just at 167. Mental

Mvg is the dart god
Was.
How does Kim's one make sense
Average 125 then only 1 match dart miss loses 3 average 122??
Anika Aziz he scored 36 with two darts, the average goes down
If the average is that high, every miss really brings it down fast. By multiple points. If you average 100 it only goes down by a couple decimals.
Also take into consideration that Kim's average was based on just 5 legs or so. Not a lot of darts so a miss results in a big drop in average. 1 like for every treble
All over short formats not that impressive.
i would honestly be suprised if you threw 2 out of 5 games over a 90 on your best night
Best of 12 isn’t a short format.
Nah, it's still impressive.
Do it in the finals of the world's then we talking
