I think ALL hospitals, family unit centers, should offer a free crash course on Infant CPR,to new parents. This should be mandatory.Pre or post delivery of the baby.
Agreed, and it should be for each child, even if you’re not a first time parent, because a) recommendations change sometimes (it used to be fewer chest compressions per breaths, and now at least for adult cpr they say chest compression only is fine in most cases) and b) because everyone can use a refresher.
Thank you so much for you time and effort in putting out this helpful video!!! However, I do wish there would have been a more indepth step by step instruction as well as showing us exactly what you were demonstrating or talking about on certain things. Like for instance the mask sizes and tricks to make an adult size work for an infant, etc.
Question what if you don't have the breathing tools and you just don't have anything how would you do mouth to mouth can you still open the baby's mouth up and breathe hard or breathe normally
Tilt infant to Sniffing position, which is a very slight tilt, most likely the child is small enough that you could cover the baby's mouth and nose with your mouth, then breath in just enough to see chest rise. Remember, an infant's lungs are much smaller than your lungs so you don't need to exhale completely to achieve chest rise.
@@jeanallen5880 both! But don't worry if you're ever in that situation and your mind goes blank. Don't stand there trying to remember. Just get the air in!!! Two short (not hard) quick, puffs! Then Back to compressions. Looking sideways with your eyes at baby's chest to see if it rises.
POV: you just had a baby and you’re terrified
No I heard my neighbor's baby died coz no one that was around knew how to do this
You’re doing the best possible thing being here and preparing for the worst that will hopefully never happen though!
No i learned the fact that baby sharks rhythm is the perfect rhythm for infant cpr and i wanted to check
🤦🏾♀️how’d you know

now that would be something states and the federal govt should fund - as opposed to the crap they usually spend our tax money on.
And fathers
Our pediatrician offers a monthly course free. I wonder how many other pediatricians offices do this.

Just took a cpr class a day ago. I have learned more here than in 8 hours seating in the boring classroom 😖 for 106 dollars 😤
Yes TH-cam University saves a lot of money and time 💯
It's not about who's first it's about the content of the video and this video was very helpful
Fun fact: baby shark is the perfect melody for guiding infant cpr

Makes me want to hug my 5mo old. Scares me that something can happen to her
That damn intro *beep* is LOUD!!! 😂
This dude finally used a mannequin. He demonstrated using a real person for the child and adult videos.
Very informative, good job!
Watching this because I just thought my newborn was choking
I learn a lot more about cpr thank
Ok that intro video gave me an anxiety attack as a mother of a 2 month old baby 😬
OK, so how is this a safe training video but the baby is chewing on a peeled wire/table
Question what if you don't have the breathing tools and you just don't have anything how would you do mouth to mouth can you still open the baby's mouth up and breathe hard or breathe normally
Breathe normally! Sorry for the late reply. You’d breathe normally as it is a baby. I wouldn’t breathe too hard.

So you were supposed to put your mouth over their mouth and nose or just one?

Good job sir very well explained 👍
Woah way too fast on the compressions, think of the staying alive song or another on bites the dust (for a lack of better life saving baby songs 😅)
Is this still the proper way in 2022?
Thank you 🙏
I was taught to flip and smack during my trainjng
🦋Good question. Is this a possible blocked airway as in choking? A quick back thrust may dislodge blocked airway?
Whats EMS?
