One of the politicians affected by that action, the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio is miffed that people are rejoicing over omission of his name from the list of Senatorial candidates. Akpabio is from my state, we loved him for some things he did while serving as a governor. He is from Essien udim, still in the same Ikot expense senatorial district and he contested his first term as Senator and won, then failed in second termed and was privileged to be given the minister of niger delta, then ran for the presidential position and failed, now he wants to be a senator should tinubu wins, he may be privilege to be granted senate president. This is not right if Inec should allow them to ascend to this position. Let him go home and allow others the privilege to also enjoy their opportunity. I don't vote for him let him go and enjoy the money he already made from politics. He has caused much pain to Akwa ibomites, especially his followers.

Since Akpabio became the minister of Niger delta commission the little road construction in Niger delta areas came to a Holt because him and Buhari were probing expenditures of that commission while Buhari and his cabals are constructing rail ways using another mumu from the south Amaechi. I love this conversation! I think that Akpabio lost the respect, support and admiration of so many Nigerians the moment he cross-carpeted to the ruling APC to protect the corruption allegations.
Secondly, he became ingrained in dirty politics of desperation and was singled out in the NDDC saga that sacked the woman from office. EFCC and ICPC must as a matter of fact begin his prosecution.
Lawan also performed abysmally as the Senate Leader. His performances point to the fact that he was simply ambitious and selfish. He never stood with his people, rather he wanted to succeed Buhari at the detriment of Nigerians so much so that he never saw any reasonable reason to question some borrowings and other policies of the presidency.
It serves them so well. I wish civil societies or even NBA initiates a bill that prevents sitting governors from using our Senate as a retirement home.

Saraki tried the same but Kwara people rejected him overwhelmingly. Even Tambuawa escaped narrowly from being voted out in 2019.
Former Governor Mimiko of Ondo state, though performed exceptionally well as governor but Ondo people rejected his idea to go to the Senate. These crooks should know that Nigerians are not happy with their greed.
Meanwhile, APC will win the governorship of Benue State come 2023 and Governor Ortom will be humiliated in the polls for his abysmal performance and manipulation.

The candidate of PDP was the least qualified among those who contested. Ortom, out of impunity and rascality imposed him on the people based on personal relationship he has with him and Iyorchia Ayu as against the 2 people the people wanted. Secondly, Ortom performed so abysmally in the history of the State.
APC have instead gave their ticket to a Rev Fr who is loved by so many across all divides. The same Rev Fr was coming closer to PDP but was never given an iota of chance, so like Obi, he went to APC and Akume grab the opportunity to present him to the people who accepted him overwhelmingly. If APC had done their primaries by delegates like PDP, the rev Fr would have gotten no chance because, he doesn't have the money. Akume seen that he was a material the people needed decided that APC had direct primaries for governor. Guess what, everybody voted for him in the primaries. It's interesting to see how PDP members were even mobilizing people to vote for the priest. He beat the rest of them hands down. They were dissatisfied and appeal, and another primaries were held. It was even worse. In Benue the Priest is like a movement.
It will interest you to know that Benue is voting Peter Obi of Labour party for president and
APC for governor because of the priest.
