    Market well develop compared to those days when I lived short time in New Amsterdam I used to go every Saturday, if ever in future I visit Guyana will surely take a peek at this market. Thank you

    Very lovely to see, if only they could cover the fish/shrimps with a plastic sheet to prevent the flies and maybe a 25 gallon bucket for all the s cuttings from the fish to keep things covered and minimize the flies and potential disease. But very nice to see all the fish and fruit and veggies. Yes, please save the turtle. Guyana 4 Ever

      Not true...most people buy fish in the morning when it's fresh...a true Guyanese knows when the fish is no good and not to buy

      The fish is freshly caught and the meat is from freshly slaughtered animals.Mostly sold out in a short space of time.Trust me it is all good .Btw I am vegetarian.

      Why should I know that? Guyana is not an Urdu speaking country.
      Berbice is probably the only place in Guyana where it is called Anar.
      In the West Demerara where I am from it is only called Pomegranate, pronounced ' Pongramma" and I never heard it called Anar until I went to that market.
