I recently got mine done that's why I'm commenting. I bought all 4 mounts took it to my mechanic. Turns out they only changed 1, charged me for 4, kept my new parts they didn't use. I had another mechanic confirm this. I contacted the BBB and filed a suit against the shop. Just be careful and confirm the work. Make sure you tell them to show work as they are doing it
The rear is always a pain but I'm disheartened to hear an established mechanic shop couldn't replace more than one for you when they charged for 4. Good on you for taking legal action.
I learned the hard way as well but always ask for old parts back in the original box whenever dropping off vehicle for work. If they ask why explain it’s nothing personal with their shop just bad experience in the past.
interesting.. I want to do the rear mount on my 14' patriot myself, just not comforable laying on my back and doing it with jack stands.. its buried up high and have to yank on things.. don't feel like getting crushed. Mine is literally Buzzzzing the plastic washer fluid/coolant tanks. I'm going to replace the right passenger one first and see if that buzzzing/vibration goings away.
Mine seems to be buzzing coolant out of the radiator cap. I think that's where my coolant loss problem is. I replaced damn near every part of the cooling system except for the radiator and think I'm narrowing it down.
Agree, I came for this exact one, it looks like a secret, no one shows how this one goes off. I've seen a bunch for the lower one (I guess FWD), but for the taller one (4WD) is like impossible to find videos.

WAIT WAIT WAIT... This is why my patriot shakes like hell at a red light.
I've been trying to fix this for a year now.
SAME!!! I've been putting it in neutral when sitting at a stop light because it shakes/vibrates so much.
Damn I do the same thing at a red light
Me too did you guys change out your mounts?
@CO.Electrical yes. It fixed about 80% of the problem. It shakes a bit by design, but the mounts takes a lot out of it.

I wish you luck! Let me know how it goes

It seems to moves twice as much now
Oh well not going to try and figure it out I’ve done the work it’s my sister’s pos
He said..it doesn't much as much? They need to check when they put it in reverse
So I had this done, engine and trans mounts and I’m still getting loads of vibrations into the cabin.. what do you think? No engine light yet…
Not really an expert on Jeep Patriots, but I’d check spark plugs/ ignition coils. Maybe timing chain needs to be done
Also could be poor quality mounts I've found that most of the mounts from eBay for example are poor quality
@@SantiagoSanchez-ic2ut my
Mechanic did aftermarket the first time but when I noticed vibrations still, he switched them to oem but no difference.
@@digiovanniracing thanks! My next oil change I’ll mention it to the mechanic. It’s driving me nuts 😖
Didn't you had to use a jack to support the engine?
At somepoint yes
how much time did it take in total?
Approximately 8-10 hours. This was my first time doing anything of this sort
Well the most important one is the rear one and you didn't post the process on that one 👎
I’m sure you can find it somewhere else. I’d much sooner scrap this car than do it at this point.

My mom had a 2013 jeep patriot her motor moves too and it makes a noise when accelerating
