Voice of innocence, great tone and fine pickin what more do you want , great interpretation of a country blues song from Elizabeth cotton. Sometimes the simple and pure things are the best ❤
I am hearing her here for the first time today. After watching this video twice, I did a search of TH-cam and watched almost everything that I could find by her. I plan to order her album, even though it’s going to cost a bit as an import to the USA, but it is worth it. This girl is going places.
This kid is the complete package. Utterly mesmerizing, the voice. Patsy Cline sings like that. I love that you love RickiLeeJones, upon whom I distinctly recall having a not-insignificant crush. .. The show goes on, and opening night is in my hometown. Lucky me. 🎤🎼
Absolutely amazing work mate. I know this has been a challenging time getting it over the line but you have Absolutely smashed it. It's artistic, atmospheric, and shows the stratospheric levels of your creativity. Your potential seems to be limitless. You should know already just how proud of you I am and it's been a pleasure and a privilege to have been involved in this project with you. We'll done, you should be proud of what you have achieved
Wow! What a delightful discovery! 🤩 Muireann is a phenomenal, young artist. Don't believe there's a safe, non-destructive, acoustic guitar technique (with the exception of slide work) that she didn't exhibit in this video. And same goes for her pure, expressive voice. Thanks McNally Guitars, and Muireann, for sharing the instrument, and your awesome skills, with the world. 🌎🌠
Superb, I'm staggered how good Muireann is and she's still only 17. There's some super tricky guitar on Shake Sugaree and Muireann's vocals are pretty damn good too. You would have thought that she's been playing for decades she's that good. I'm definitely a new fan.
I have loved every track from this McNally series......but this is the knockout blow. There is just something about the vocal on this version of Shake Sugaree that is making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The magic in Muireann's fingertips speaks for itself, but this vocal is something a bit special.
Muireann satisfies all of my musical needs right now. I have been strictly a fan of Mississippi John Hurt for years now. I myself play guitar alternating bass style, mostly MJH's songs. Lately I have been listening to Muireann a little more than MJH, for now.
It's interesting that there is no mention that the original songwriter was the legendary Elizabeth Cotten. It was recorded by her granddaughter Brenda Evans.
I've seen Muireann perform this live twice in 2024, and each time she introduced it by crediting Elizabeth Cotten (she's a big fan 😉) and stating that it was recorded by / with her granddaughter. Whatever the intention of "it's interesting" I'm sure that Muireann had no intention of taking songwriting credit in the clumsy "by Muireann Bradley" description from McNally Guitars.
in fact.... it's interesting (to me) that, before Muireann plays anything live, her introduction always credits not only the original composer but also the person whose arrangement she has taken as her start point. She may have changed the key to suit her vocal range, changed the words to suit her gender and the passage of time, and added her own variations, but none of that is mentioned. Just the credit of the original composer and arranger. Her guitar and vocal skills are exceeded only by her modesty. 😉
I’m honored that your playing my arrangement for Shake Sugaree. Well done!
Is that true?
Hello Mr. Grossman. I’m sure when she sees your comment she will be over the moon.
@@HollowayIPThat’s his official TH-cam account.
Stefan's a cool cat.
Your love of blues guitar has touched the life of millions, Thanks Stefan.
I am a 78 y/0 blues fan. Been listening for a long time. Muireann gives me hope for the future of this classic music. Good on ya!
It's tricky, eh.

Yes, the author and original singer of the song should be credited.
I think Elizabeth Cotton played the guitar while her granddaughter sang on their original recording.

Bloody good.
To borrow late DeKoven's ultimate level of baroque music excellence, SUPER O.T.W: Super Out of This World 🌎, this applies to Muireann, once again
