Something to keep in mind, a japanese size 10 ring is about equivalent to US size 5 1/2, which is considered very thin fingers by us standards anyway.
Yeah as a 6'4" dude I wear a US 16 ring. I didn't even realize she's wearing a size 5 1/2 at first. That's like pencil thin from my perspective.
You should also take into account japanese are way shorter, at average, than americans and europeans.

Ring sizes in general are crazy. Not from how picky they are-you ARE wearing solid metal, after all, and thus want it to be a good fit-but from how nonstandardized they are:
NA: +1 for every 1/8" greater circumference than 1 5/16"
English: A=1 5/16" circumference, advance a letter for each 1/16" greater
France: straight circumference in mm
Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia: straight diameter in mm
Italy, Switzerland: circumference in mm-40
Japan, China, India: similar to IT/SW, but increases more slowly with larger circumferences wtf?
