I'll be honest with you the reason I hate smoke bomb is because whenever I deploy it most of my units are already dead before it arrives
Yeah, that can be annoying. Try deploying it early instead.

No,its 40% damage received less. For example Fallschirmjager deals 100dmg per second. When smoke is deployed your units only receive 60dmg per second
