I've had that exact Dewalt multitool in my closet for years. My dad got it somewhere along the line, maybe a company christmas party. There's another Dewalt bottle opener that opens up with some scissors but not much else
I have several multitools including the original Leatherman. I really dislike them. I always have access to a single function tool so really no use for them. The only time I really have one is when I travel. I put them in my checked luggage because you never know. I see a lot of people using them daily and I almost wish I was like that too but just not in me.
The multitool and especially budget multitool market is going to get upended, all DeWalt has to live off of with that chintzy piece is name recognition when there's 20 to 40 dollar leatherman clones that hold up shockingly well for their price imo Workforce, Ozark Trail, Flissa, Biburry and others putting their name on the same oem makers Wave clones is hard to pass up especially with some companies like Roxon putting out innovative and interesting tools instead of "Yellow and Black" plastic branding
I probably qualify as a Dewalt fanboy. If you look around my shop you will see a lot of black and yellow. I even use a Dewalt usb charger and love it, but that multi-tool is a bridge to far for me.

That Dewalt multitool is absolute complete garbage. My dad bought one about 6 years ago to use at work and it's the worst. I bought him a leatherman ST300 to replace it and he never looked back. The quality is terrible, the design is terrible, the size and shape are terrible , overall it's just junk that isn't made well or thought out well at all. 6 years ago I'm pretty sure he payed under $25 for it ( had to be because he's cheap ) and it came with this weird gimmicky bottle opener keychain thing.
I bleed black and yellow and I'd still rather carry a Leatherman

Have you ever had a Victorinox Swiss tool x? They’re better than the leathermans IMHO. Not cheap though…

I picked up 2 of them for $5.00 a piece on a black Friday sale. They're pretty chintzy.
