How I see it, I don't know how you played the game. Some people collected everything and levelled up enough before a fight. If you didn't collect the fire mantle before Bear, it will be tough, same as Yellow Sage, you need wind mantle to make things easier. Missing certain armor or pieces might make a fight much harder.
