I have a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 1 which turned me into a dedicated Chromebook user. Posts like yours make me appreciate it more. My experience gets better with every ChromeOS update. One of my favorites is the improved dictation feature (search key + d). The speech to text works really well. In fact, I just used it to write my comments here. Subscribed btw.
I like you channel and reviews I wish you make a video reviewing the Chromebook from inside the system(video recording), you can review the basic apps their speed, performance, limits and you can compare with other systems if you have any of them it would be a great video

Is capcut android app present in Chrome PlayStore and compatibile and usable on chromeOs? Why Is not possibile to use folders and shortcuts on desktop? Thx
CapCut is availble on the PlayStore in ChromeOS. Folders and Shortcuts on Desktop would be perfect. I think you have to ask this question from Google. I want that also!

for the most of the tasks you mentioned above Chrome OS is enough. Just the office work might be something that you need alternative Linux apps such as WPS.
Google Docs works very well. If you have no problem with them, I recommend ChromeOS. Personally, I use ChromeOS on a daily basis for basic tasks (including writing text in gdocs) and Windows/Linux/Macos for more advanced tasks. I appreciate ChromeOS for the quick (and only suggested) update on reboots, it runs fast enough (with 4GB RAM!!!) and I didn't have to reinstall, troubleshoot, etc. It just works.
I'm getting the Acer 314 Spin 8gb ram 128gb storage 6000 Intel Celeron processor. Ordered on 3/22/24. Can't wait to get it. This will be my first chromebook. I got it for $300 from Amazon. It was on sale from $400.

Other reviews boast being able to install these essential MS collaboration apps. I was looking forward to ChomebookOS, but this would be major deterrent. MS Office and Zoom Android Apps are currently not supported for Chrome OS via Playstore. I installed them when they were still supported. I think they removed it somewhere in 2021 from Playstore. Zoom PWA is better than Android Zoom App, it's more desktop class. On the other hand, Microsoft removed the Android Office App due to the popularity of Chrome OS and they see it as a threat to Windows. So if you don't have Office for Chrome OS and you can't use it offline (web Office app) then you might not consider Chrome OS and choose Windows! But you can sideload these apps using the .apk
It actually has to do with screensize, and nothing else. Microsoft does not allow free use of Office apps on devices that dont classify as "mobile". The Play store does a quick check on your screen size, and determines wether or not your device is a "mobile" device or not. To utilise Office on a big screen, they want you to use an paid license. You can however still fall back on the web based version of microsoft office.

This actually further convinces me that chromebooks are going to one day take over the entire market share. If Google can make a chromebook run more demanding programs, maybe they can surpass windows computers, especially if they get the ability to run steam and xbox games more easily. Edit: I can envision only needing this type of device rather than an iPad in addition to a windows surface (book) laptop. I would be able to use it with a stylus as a touchscreen, detach it from the keyboard to handwrite and consume content, while also having a dedicated full fledged chrome browser to type essays and attend zoom calls on. I would also have a device I could use for research and creative projects. And I wouldn't have to carry around 2 devices across campus.
@@amsatt yeah. I used a chromebook at high school a couple years ago. Back then the tech wasn't as developed and refined. I've recently tried to use a 2 in 1, and I find a lot has improved. But I believe the most functional one to me would be a chromebook closer to a tablet.

try to restart the device, check for software updates. If didnt work hard reset might do the job!
They'd launch next version of this chromebook (with snap 7 gen 2 or may be gen 3).

Exayctly, I think the chromebook tablets are the sweet spot between tablet and laptop. No other tablet right now is able to offer this possiblity.

The pixel slate series could have but it just had a bad launch. They fixed everything with software updates and continue to update it.
