For me, it's the best BL of the year 2021! I think this is the first time in a BL that the second lead is also the main lead!

It's so rare to see a couple where they are both awkward and introverts especially in BL. Shinwoo has the second lead vibes but actually ends up with the main lead.They are so realistic as hs boys, daon was too and I love how I wanted the best for everyone cuz their thought process made sense (except the girl). I supported them all and hated seeing any of them hurt (except the girl once in a while)

I just love how Shin Woo's ears always betray and show how he really feels.
Daon is the definition of an ideal boyfriend - kind, smart and good looking. Shinwoo is the definition of a perfect boyfriend - tough, loyal and loving. Everyone thought that Daon was the endgame but after the episode where he can't handle the comments from the students, Shinwoo became my endgame. Daon is only good when everything is good while Shinwoo is good even when it's bad. Shinwoo stayed throughout Taegyung's brokenheart.
Honestly Shinwoo whole persona in this show is so beautiful and well protracted. He come off as harsh but he's really just a softy around his friends and especial courageous when it comes for TaeKyung ❤

What best i loved about the main characters was how shinwoo looked strong n cold yet he was so weak near tae...while tae looked naive n vulnerable but was stronger n dominant one comparatively in the relationship ...

It was so hard to see Shinwoo suffering for Tae. I cried in every episode because the way this character was portrayed by Yooseok was amazing. I could emphasize with him easily and I really felt that I was his friend and I suffered for him. He was like my bestie. 😅 also when he finally was accepted by Tae I was over the moon. This series will be one of my favorite and Shinwoo is definitely my favorite character of BL’s series. And yes Team Shinwoo in this life and other. 💕
Same, I was not able to sleep in every single episode which I felt more pain in Shin Woo, specially when he completely gave up seeing Daon and Tae together, his conversation with his teacher made him snap out a bit and have some courage again, at least a piece of hope, I almost cried every time he stared at Daon and Tae with his longing eyes. But I was the happiest when he got what he deserved. Well deserved. To be loved back.
After watching the series I just asked a question to myself
"How am I suppose to be satisfied with my future partner's love and care after seeing Shin Woo"

I feel exactly the same. Unrequited love is always painful. His expressions were everything. I had a thought what if Tae had not read the messages then it would have been over for Shin. And I would have killed the writers because i felt every emotion of him.

Shinwoo is the character which literally saved everyone from a second lead syndrome. A realistic and interesting character unlike the usual leads
No matter how much time it passes, this will always be one of the softest and most beautiful bl´s I´ve ever watched, it is so hearwarming to see, I love them.

Taekyung started to change the way he viewed Shinwoo when he gave him the bandages.
He started to have feelings without really realizing it during the evening at Shinwoo's because during the scene where they thank each other 8:39, after looking at each other, Taekyung turns away, uncomfortable.
He realized his feelings during karaoke, when he saw Shinwoo give everything to make him laugh but he hid them, not being sure Shinwoo felt the same.
He started letting his feelings get the better of him as soon as he saw all the messages and Shinwoo sort of declared himself.
It's my point of view.
Finally someone who thinks exactly the same as me. I also wanna add something tho. I think that Tse started thinking differently about Shin Woo when he saw him feeding the cat and gave him the bandages, but I also do think he was subconsiously kinda attracted to him since the beginning. He was trying his best to get along with him and was interested in getting to know him better. Some may argue that was because he wanted to get his approval so he can be part of the council. That is partly true but not entirely. Tae and Shin Woo were awkward in the beginning but Tae was able to bring out his playful side only with Shin Woo and that happened from the very beginning. In ep 2 it's the first time we see Tae joke around. He teases Shin Woo by lying about a spider being in his hair. He has not shown this side of him with anyone else besides shin Woo. I really think Shin Woo waas the only one to make Tae act natural since the start. They just needed time to built their relationship properly and resolve any misunderstadnigs caused by Shin Woo's initial mean behavour.

@@lazypotato449 I agree with you ! I also think Tae was attracted to Shinwoo maybe at first he was just curious as to why he was reacting like that, much like Shinwoo when he first met Tae. But the fact that he's affected by Shinwoo's reactions when he doesn't care what people think of him normally and that he's happy whenever there's a little rapprochement between them makes it clear that it's more than curiosity or approval to be accepted. I think Tae's early "feelings" for Shinwoo changed "negatively" when Shinwoo started to be aggressive about the library story again. Moreover, Tae made it clear to him during their argument in the canteen that at first he was trying to understand him but that from then on he would not try again! That's why Tae started to be distant with Shinwoo and to get closer to Daon who was kind to him from the start. Tae had to tell himself that if Shinwoo wanted to be close to him, now it was up to him to put in the effort. But despite the distance Tae imposed between them, when they were together just the two of them, they were comfortable and teased each other. Besides, when Shinwoo heals Tae's forehead during the trip, their positions clearly show that they are really comfortable with each other! Shinwoo encircles Tae's legs with his own and are facing each other while when it's Daon, they are to the side. And when Shinwoo gave him the bandages, Tae's gaze changed because he thought to himself that finally Shinwoo was finally making an effort to be close to him and that he cared about him, that's why for me, that's when it all really started 😊

@@legna5432 you really analyzed it perfectly. You put my thoughts into words so I don't think I have anything else to add. It is shown from the beginning that there is attraction and a spark between Shin woo and Tae. I truly believe that Tae would have fallen in love with Shin woo earlier if Shin woo hadn't become distant again after witnessing Da on giving a band-aid to Tae in the library. Their love story would have started earlier but Shin woo felt he already lost to Da on. It was hard to open up to Tae and when he decided to do it he felt he had no chance. However they still found their Way to each other. They are really meant for one another as they are really comfortable around each other and they complete one another perfecty.

I really liked that the characters are so interesting and not stereotypical and also that their lovestory is so innocent and doesnt have any actual obstacles (although its not necessarily realistic for homosexuals in korea yet i think its great that they showed a gay couple just like they would portrait a straight couple, too)
i cried sm bcs even tho shinwoo already had feelings for taekyung way longrr he still did his best to support him to confess to daon and even would support their relationship bcs taekyungs happiness was the most important to him.. im so glad they ended up together at the end

I love this drama because when I first watched it, I couldn't tell if Shin-woo hated his guts or actually liked him. But now as I watch scenes again, I realize that everything he did seemed so loving and actually made sense. His behavior reminds me of a second male lead, but I'm glad that he ended up with the main. He silently takes care of Tae-Kyung while supporting his every move. That's why I fell in love with his character.
I wish shin woo and taekyung had more scenes....
Also shin woo doesn't confessed that he met taekyung even before he joined students Council...
Badly Hoping for a season 2
I feel like this is the Korean bl series that really opened the door for more Korean BLs. And I’m so grateful and proud to see korea getting better and better everyday. Even if they’re baby steps they are still steps 🫶🫶🫶💗💗💗💗
this is really a hidden gem, especially for korean bls. I really liked that all the characters were believable, and I found it interesting that while they're both introverts, you'd think they'd be timid, or one of them would be more confident, but they both had their "holy, he really said that to his face/did that" moments, haha. it was a nice watch overall.
There couple was the sweetest I like how shin woo acts cold but have a warm side for Taekyung
The small interactions between them are still romantic in a cute

I literally fell in love with all the characters in this drama series and that included the female character as well...
OMG! What was i thinking? I thought I'd get over this Drama so easily but seeing this edit, gosh, i realized I just can't.
They're so cute. The second to the last episode gave me so much goosebumps that thought I'd drop the drama but no, i kept on. Another part in this series that did the same thing to me was that of when Shinwoo was having a discussion with his teacher. Aww!! I learnt a valuable lesson from that particular scene. In fact, every scene had an effect on me. 🥺😊😌
Light on me (the Drama series) lives rent free in my mind and heart till today and it's been over 4 months i saw it.. I'd always root for this series. Generally, I love that Korean BL dramas are not too extra (their non BLs too). They always keep it real and cool.

Just finished this drama yesterday and I can't move on, their chemistry was insane, they're amazing actors. They made me feel like if I was not watching a drama, but real peolpe in their daily lives, they're that good that you can easily forget they're acting. When I get to find amazing actors like them I always wonder how can they be that good portraying their characters, they were just perfect together, their love story was so cute and pure, I loved it 💖

ahh i binge watched the whole season in one sitting. I love shinwoo and how taekyung and shinwoo didn't seem to be battling with internalized homophobia or else that much, that they didn't have any issue with their sexualities, they just had a crush and were sometimes heartbroken and started an exciting new relationship. And the other pupils gossip was expected and i cant blame president for chickening out first. It was nice to see how good friend and wingman namgoong was
