Another book to verify your info on the CIA and drugs, "Operation Gladio: The Unholy Alliance Between the Vatican, the CIA and the Mafia", by Paul L. Williams. This book starts with the OSS and follows the history until now and the book has a ton of foot notes.

This guy has done a 2.5 year prison, he was making 2k a month, he sounds like he has read to many crime novels, he sounds and quotes every country on the planet, and and the wetherspoons quote was a bit strange with the date factors
Shaun, why aren’t any of these books in an audible format??? I get bad migraines from reading, but have an audible library worth around 5k. I’d be happy to copy them onto a pod for prison libraries. I got the same vibe- that he was rephrasing and paraphrasing general rhetoric with a certain vague obfuscation for legitimacy. But he is tugging on that flask to stave of the shakes from a string of post-traumatic vacation mafia hopping or something. He probably is being decently genuine but it's hard to imagine what how his editor managed to organize his story/ monologue
