  • In spring 2022, The Twin towns of Echuca Moama and surrounding towns along the Campaspe, Goulburn and Murray River experienced the most significant flooding event in over 150 years.
In the face of this terrifying disaster, the tight-knit community of Echuca Moama rolled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly without question to help each other to prepare the twin towns and areas that would be worst hit by the predicted water levels.

    So Proud of Echuca/Moama.
Thank You to every single person, and to all the local businesses who worked directly in the effort, and who let people go to help, and others who kept volunteers fed.
Thank You to all the agencies, and their people who came from all over Vic and NSW to lend us a hand.

Congratulations to the residents of the twin towns. You all put in a tremendous effort to save the people and the towns. To the people who suffered I do feel sorry for you because some things aren't fair. This was a marvellous documentary. Thank you very much for putting it up.

Amazing work Radiant Media, to capture the moments and emotions of a truly unforgettable time in our local history. It's emotional to look back now at the efforts by so many and now the work still ahead to recover. We've got this! Proud to call Echuca Moama our home.

As part of both the Rochester and Echuca-Moama it was inspiring to watch on, however we live between the two communities, and have had nothing but roadblocks in getting outside help. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks since we were wiped out, and Blazeaid are the first coming to help clean up around the farm.

As a person of ' the River ' upstream in Albury, l give you my love and support Echuca.. We were not as badly affected, but after watching the Hume dam releases from my neck of the woods, l can see why this flooding occurred.
    Godspeed.

Isnt it amazing that it takes suffering to bring people together. My son grew up here. This town like the World at large needed a kick start to remember what compassion is about.

It's capturing and so inspiring to watch this back now (and a little bit of a tear-jerker). Proud to be a born and bred Echuca Moama resident and so so proud of our community during this time, especially to everyone who helped save our beautiful holiday park from flooding. Captured perfectly radiant Media, thank you.

The Murray river, from its source to the mouth is 2,560km long. Echuca/Moama sits at the 1,712km marker(from the mouth in S.A. ... it is still tracking downstream, Swan Hill is at 1,410km marker.

Let us know when these towns are back "open for business" so that we can support the local businesses with our tourist dollars, rather than heading to the bigger cities.

The only thing that isn't open right now is a few of the caravan parks. But they're slowly reopening. Call ahead if you're planning to stay at a caravan park.
But apart from that, pretty much everything is up and running again and we're definitely looking forward to welcoming visitors back.
