  • Welcome to my channel "Memoirs of an M.E Goddess“
I live in New Zealand, a proud mum of four amazing children, with a beautiful husband who keeps me alive just by his sheer will some days!
I used to be an artist, ran an online crystal business, studied at art school and my hands were never still.
    Now……….
These videos document my journey with Myalgia Encephalomyelitis.
I have had mild CFS (as it was referred to then) since 1997. I was fortunate to experience a remission for a number of years.
In 2012 I became severely ill with an extreme relapse of M.E (as we refer to it now) and have been wheelchair bound since 2014. and bed bound since 2015.
To follow my story please check out my playlists as all the videos I make are filed there.

We get that way when the condition comes on strong. It affects our emotions. I allow the crabbiness/anxiety/feelings of doom to take their run. When they first start it's super upsetting, but then I try look at it like PMS and try to understand why it's happening, knowing that it will end. I try to remember that the mood is not me, it's the illness. This perspective doesn't help the mood, but helps me feel less bad about feeling bad. Hopefully that makes sense. My motto has always been, "Maybe tomorrow will be better.'" It helps me carry on, as does a cuppa. You are lovely in your honesty about your own struggles. You don't pretend, you just are, and that is refreshing even in extra hard times.
