This is her natural way of speaking. I went to school with her and although I was quite young and she was almost leaving school at the time I remember her talking in this way. She sounded like this even as a teen. 🤷♀️

My 19 year old son, who was born in Canada, speaks better Bangla than most Bangladeshi kids of his age of Dhaka. If one can’t respect his/her own background and culture then how can they expect to be respected by others. Sadly I have met many Bengalis from both WB and Bangladesh in Canada, who would tell me that their children can’t speak Bangla. Where as I have met Gujaratis whose forefathers migrated to South Africa more than 100 years ago , and then moved to Canada in the 70s, their children can speak Gujarati.
