3:29 Its a quote from the Bhagavad Gita, compiled 5,000 years ago. Its what Lord Krishna says to Prince Arjun, just before the great war. Duty comes first. In otherwords, a Drs job is to save lives whether they get paid or not, whether friend or foe. For a police officers, serving comes first before personal gain etc
No Neha you got it wrong. Doctor can have his own morals and deny service if they themselves are oppressed. Also that’s not the meaning. Not being controlled by results of your actions. Life is more about actions than results. And as action is done for greater good. The result is fruit of many good actions, not just one. Like Gandhi wasn’t the only guy who got us freedom. So his work was culmination of some many before. So somebody at his position shouldn’t get attached to the fruits. Our old people say that what happened through my hand, whatever social work I did was done through Vitthal. It was Vitthal who through me helped this troubled person. That’s also Mishra a karmayoga, in further verses Krishna says how he works in world through us. So a lot of things we do are thanks to the Krishna.
Since were quoting scriptures...In Ramayan, when Laxman was wounded, near death...Raavans physician (medic) refused to help and cure Laxman, simply bcoz he was the enemy...True? Morally, if he helped Laxman, then his own countrymen would be killed in battle by La xman..So, he refused...But, after his duty was explained...His occupation superceded his obligations to his King...He was a Dr, a healer...His goal is to heal whoever, whatever..Whether friend or foe.
I fully agree about Gandhi not being the noble freedfighter everyone makes out to be, msny of us know, it was Subhash Chadra Bose, Sardar Patel and many like them...Gandhi is a over rated puppet
If a police man discovers his child is committing a crime...He cannot simply ignore his childs actions...He has a duty to uphold the law, even if he feels mentally stressed or attachment towards his child...The policeman cant say.."arresting my son is morally wrong, as a father", his occupation and rank comes before his duty as a father.

How the the heros look(body build/moustache) and behave. Being badass. The beauty in the movie. Just excellent commentary. Thank you! I do see a lot of the American movies and tv shows pushing certain messages. I don't have a problem with folks living the way they want to, but I feel this whole diversity/inclusion things is getting too much. Making sure there is a person from each race/ethnic group in commercials and tv shows/movies and in company hirings/promotions. Just tell a great story and get the best person for the job.
It's too early to say that Rajamouli peaked with this movie, but RRR will probably be his most accessible work because there's a lot of English in it and hating on the British Empire is relatable.
Love your calm way of speaking. Very soothing to hear. And listening to non indian audience gushing over RRR never gets old :D Also, you might want to check up the Bhagvad Geeta. Its something you should not miss in life. Thanks for your kind words towards our movie.
"You have the right to work" -- This line is taken from hindu epic "The Bhagwad Gita". And a lot of concepts and motifs are drawn from the Indian civilization that goes back millenias. No wonder they are epic.
SS Rajamouli's best work is Bahubali (2 part movie). It is still to date the best Indian Movie ever made, and highest box office grosser also. The scale, The Story, Acting ... everything on point. You should watch it if you like RRR. Bahubali is just 5x in every aspect.
No it’s not. RRR is his best work. Bahubaali storyline quite weak. Lost son discover his actual heritage & avenge his parents. I dont feel the rage because he barely knows them, and his life is happy before with his adoptive mother & villagers. Same thing with happen with avengers endgame, i dont feel the rage because they fight different thanos from alternate timeline, not the one that make them suffer.
I've subscribed. Not for the review of the movie, but for everything you've said about the current state of Hollywood. And I think it applies to most movie industries today to some extent even the Indian ones. India has more than one movie making _"Industry"_ so to speak, divided linguistically. But yes, cinema worldwide as a whole has become like that and you've described it with some very simple yet working analogies. Good stuff.
India won two Oscars 1. Kartiki Gonsalves, Guneet Monga - The Elephant Whisperers - Best Documentary (Short Subject) 2. M.M. Keeravani (Music), Chandrabose (Lyrics) - RRR - Best Original Song (For "Naatu Naatu") Both of them deserves the same respect. ❤
The movie is re-releasing all over the US on March 3rd in 200 theatres. Go ahead & book it ASAP! The exaggerated scenes r intentionally intended to make the characters superhuman with grounded emotions & larger than life style, which is SS Rajamouli sir style of filmmaking. The movie is inspired by "The motorcycle diaries" movie of the character reveal at the end & "Inglourious Basterds" climax where Hitler gets shot inside the theatre with machine gun. The characters Komaram Bheem & Alluri Sitarama Raju are real life freedom fighters who were born around the same time, left their homes respectively around their 20s & for next 2-3 years nobody knows or is accounted in history of what happened to them. Later they go back to their homes as changed men where Komaram Bheem comes back as an educated man & educates his people & inspires them to fight the Britishers with arms. Alluri Sitarama Raju dons the saffron robe & inspires his people to take up arms. The interesting coincidence surprised the director & he created a "what if" movie that is RRR, where If both the freedom fighters met in those unaccounted years & become best friends? That's what this movie is, it's a fictional tale with real life fighters who inspired each other & change the other lives. Bringing in 2 massive Indian stars, NT Rama Rao Jr & Ram Charan together in a movie is a once in a bluemoon thing & both of them in the same frame was very special. Glad to know u loved it. Hoping both Jr NTR & Ram Charan dance live at the Oscars for Naatu Naatu & we win for *Best Original Song.* 10:37 this point is for everybody who r making fun of the exaggerated scenes.

I am glad you highlighted it. It has to be a great philosophical line. After all its from a great philosophical book. The Bhagavad Gita. This needs to be discussed. This is really a thing of beauty. I am breaking that into four parts. Its roughly like this. 1. You have the right to do your duty. 2. But you don't have the right to its results. 3. Don't consider yourself to be the cause of the result. 4. And don't be attached to not doing your duty. 1st statement is kinda self evident. Whatever your talent or interest is you have the right to pursue it. Do put in your effort. 2nd statement is often misunderstood. Some say don't expect any results. Or don't desire any results. These are not exactly right. How can you work if you don't want any result? Goals and plans are fine. Without any direction how can one work? Fact is you do want the result. But you are not obsessed with it. Do your best. And then leave the rest. 'You don't have the right to the result'. It has many meanings. Another one is, don't try to enjoy the results. Try to share with others by charity, etc. (You don't have the 'right'). Share some of it for a higher cause. Point is understand that the result is not yours. 3rd is just ignored by most people. Okay i am not going to 'enjoy' the results. My work is my reward. At least let me take credit for what i have done. 'No. You can't. Do not think that you are the cause of your result.' That's actually true. We always like to take credit and blame our failures on the others. Fact is we are part of a bigger picture. We can do our part. But many things are working together that determines the outcome. Our effort is just one part of the equation. Fourth is like a reminder. Okay, i can't enjoy my results. I can't take any credit. Then why work at all? 'No you should work. Do not be lazy.' Because a lazy person gains nothing. If someone can work according to these principles he would be doing 'Yoga'. The Yoga of Work, or the Art of Work. The result will be that the person will develop wisdom. When that wisdom arises, that person finds himself: 'The soul.' This is super effective practically too. You have some sense of detachment to the work. But you are dilligent and dutiful. That's how someone becomes an expert. Not by obsessing over other factors. But by focussing on what they have got control over.
Well, we had our doze of Newton's third law, and now the same law has started manifesting " equally, and in opposition, "..Namasthaey..Namah Shi Vaa Ya..🙏🏼
The great line you are talking about is from Bhagvad gita, that you must put in your work without being attached to the fruits of your action. It is one of the central philosophies of Hinduism.

I never ever commented on a youtube video in all this years. Promised. But I have to tell you:
What a wonderful and deep review. This review itself is pure art. Thank you so much for this!!!!
Honestly, this review inspired me to watch a movie that I might not have otherwise chosen!
please watch. I have only seen it in reviews but I intend to watch in theater. BTW the director has an obsession for the movie Ben Hur and has been inspired by it.
Its almost 1 year since the release of RRR and the craze hasn't dampened. Thanks for talking about it. :)
Ok now shut up
No Neha you got it wrong.
After about 20 years of viewing reviews, I can finally say that this review tops them all. Just 1.28K subscribers. That is how the world works I guess.
None of the "good" aspects of "English Culture" were ever directed at the Indians. What they actually did to India and Indians was far worse in real life, and less comical.
Olivia Morris, represents the “average” british person who has no real idea where her wealth and/or circumstances actually came from and how they were attained.
RRR is re-releasing in cinemas on March 3rd, 2023... so anyone who haven't watched it in cinema, now have a chance for it!
I have seen this movie after it's release maybe 20 times and still it gives me goosebumps.
Its releasing in theatres again on march 3. if you have time watch it
K. K. Senthil Kumar cinematography is out of this world.
Yes it's simply outstanding, He simply deserved a best cinematography nod frankly speaking. Each and every shot is like a wallpaper & is so beautiful & bright to look at, even the night shots were extraordinary, which is very rare in today's cinema, where the cinematography night shots r not good at all.

@@Sachin_C10 I don't know, man. The Batman had better cinematography in my opinion (probably the best in the last decade). However, I feel RRR should've been nominated for best original screenplay. It had the best screenplay of all the movies I saw in 2022.
@@rtxmeatlug3149 batman had great cinematography no doubt but RRR too deserved a nomination for the many extraordinary shots they did, I think it didn't get because it was nominated and recognised late
It may be testosterone fueled, but many women and myself LOVED it! As someone who has worked on a few blockbusters, I very much appreciated the cinematography, pacing, staging, stunt work (most by the lead actors), soundtrack, and damn, I would have loved to have storyboarded it!
i am an Indian and loved your review..... this is my favorite movie of all time !!! i loved it...
I see you don't have many subscribers. I have to say this is one of the BEST reviews of RRR. You pointed out alot of fun and entertaining things about the movie.
I recommend Bahubali 1 and 2 from the same director. And Kantara, for an entirely different cultural experience.
It's too early to say that Rajamouli peaked with this movie, but RRR will probably be his most accessible work because there's a lot of English in it and hating on the British Empire is relatable.
Re-releasing it on March 3rd again for all fans that missed watching it on big screen. Go watch it in your nearest theater
The quote is “Karma Yoga” or the Yoga of Action (Karma) an underlying principle of the Hindu approach to life guided by Sri Krishna (B Gita)!
Love your calm way of speaking. Very soothing to hear. And listening to non indian audience gushing over RRR never gets old :D Also, you might want to check up the Bhagvad Geeta. Its something you should not miss in life. Thanks for your kind words towards our movie.
it is releasing back in theatres in usa in march
"You have the right to work" -- This line is taken from hindu epic "The Bhagwad Gita". And a lot of concepts and motifs are drawn from the Indian civilization that goes back millenias. No wonder they are epic.
SS Rajamouli's best work is Bahubali (2 part movie). It is still to date the best Indian Movie ever made, and highest box office grosser also. The scale, The Story, Acting ... everything on point.
You should watch it if you like RRR. Bahubali is just 5x in every aspect.
RRR > Bahubali series
Kuch bhi
@@MsVivek71 nope. Baahubali>>>
Yes, Bahubali The Conclusion is epic story telling with all emotions..
Good stuff.
India won two Oscars
1. Kartiki Gonsalves, Guneet Monga - The Elephant Whisperers - Best Documentary (Short Subject)
2. M.M. Keeravani (Music), Chandrabose (Lyrics) - RRR - Best Original Song (For "Naatu Naatu")
Both of them deserves the same respect. ❤
It's re-releasing in theatres on 3rd March.
Hoping both Jr NTR & Ram Charan dance live at the Oscars for Naatu Naatu & we win for *Best Original Song.*
10:37 this point is for everybody who r making fun of the exaggerated scenes.
British shown in movie not like humans in Avatar, but actually humans shown in avatar very taken as colonist as like anyone in human history.
Thanks for your wonderful lines about RRR sir. But a small correction that RRR is not a Bollywood movie, rather a Telugu movie from Tollywood 🙏
It's Indian Movie
@@shreeharibhavik yes bro you are right... But to be more specific.... it is Telugu language Indian movie 😊🙏
@@TeluguChitramala That is also true, because you Telugu people should also get the credit for this. You guys have changed the face of Indian cinema...
RRR is rereleasing this weekend in US. Watch it in theatre if you have missed it.
There are so many levels of this film. You can look at it for excitement, valour, compassion, an understanding of duty, the passion of a people under the yoke of imperialism who refuse to give up, to see dharma in action or just out of curiosity. Whatever your reason you will be richer for having spent 3 hours looking at it. I can guarantee you will look at it again
SS Rajamouli has so many great films to his credit. Each being very different from each other but magnificent at the same time.
Loved your review! Love that the line from the Bhagavat Gita resonated with you!
I have a habit of posting my review of almost every movie I watch, and for most of them posting right when I finish watching them. But, RRR is perhaps the only film which shook me entirely in such a broad and Speechless way, that I couldn't just able to literally think of a SINGLE DAMN word besides simple MASTERPIECE, or BRAVO, OR CORE BRILLIANCE, etc that my hands didn't let me write anything! SERIOUSLY, this is perhaps THE BEST MOVIE, A ROARING INTENSE AND BADASSLY SAVAGE AND TRUTH SHOWING FILM OF THE CENTURY OF CINEMA, OR CINEMAS!!! Nothing less to say it, and I mean every single compliment I have for this film, which is a patriotic emotion for me and a million or billions now, whether its about Cinematography, the ACTING.... .... .. THE CHOREOGRAPHY AND KILLING CHORUS OF NAATO NAATO, EDITING, STORY!!!!!! NO WORDS FOR ANYTHING MAN! BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO SEE THIS AND EVEN BLESSED WHO WITNESSED THIS AT THREATRES!!!
The movie is re-releasing in the US
Much excited for S.S.Rajamouli's next film because his movies standard and level increased with movie after movie.

If I'm remembering correctly the director is going to be making an Indiana Jones type movie soon.
Being an Indian, I whole heartedly, welcome, appreciate, and honour your extremely, gracious, profound, opinion, views on this film RRR.
You are a good guy with a beautiful heart. That's what I understood and derived after seeing your review than your understanding about the film.
The first dance scene was filmed in front of the Ukraine Presidential Palace before the war. RRR was about fighting oppression and Ukraine is fighting for its sovereignty as we speak. Is that irony?

Well armed and well trained brother. Current training is bad in USA. Some discretion is required
What an amazing review. Fully capturing the essence. Hollywood has unfortunately forgotten about friendship, family and decent humour. Hope it comes back.
That was the best review I've seen of RRR.....you are awesome dude!

3:18 it is from Bhagavad Gita
Great review brother. This director always overdone himself. But my all time favorite is Bahubali (1 &2 ). If you hv not watched it please do.
just subscribed because tou said you are a captain.... aye aye....
'No. You can't. Do not think that you are the cause of your result.'
That's actually true.
Do not be lazy.'
Because a lazy person gains nothing. If someone can work according to these principles he would be doing 'Yoga'.
The Yoga of Work, or the Art of Work. The result will be that the person will develop wisdom. When that wisdom arises, that person finds himself: 'The soul.'
This is super effective practically too. You have some sense of detachment to the work. But you are dilligent and dutiful. That's how someone becomes an expert.
Not by obsessing over other factors. But by focussing on what they have got control over.
Thanks for the review....cannot wait for the sequel!
Nice review man SS RAJAMOULI dream project has always been Mahabharata
Dude... your commentary is the best thing I have seen ever! Means EVER!! WHOA
