Frankly you have not enough armor unless in a downtier, great mobility and a crazy good gun. Use it as a sniper or sometimes even a flanker when all the mobility mods unlocked. I've used it all the way until 4.3 it is a very good tank unless you brawl with it.

Panzer 4 series are some of my favorites to play at lowish tier.
The G is big part of why Italy has the best 3.7 lineup in the game.
