- One of the very best days of fishing I've ever had catching whopper sized bass! I go into detail about some of the things I look for when fishing glide baits and targeting GIANT BASS. It's not always a guarantee but when they are biting it, you can catch some of the biggest bass of your life.

I have to give you a thumbs up 👍 for connecting and talking to people around the lake. Sometimes we have no idea how much impact little things like that can have in people. That kid with his 12lbs PB will never forget the day he ran into JW at the lake talked to him and showed him a photo of his PB... Great stuff!!!

I haven’t fished a glide bait much. But it is such a fun bite when they bite it. I can’t imagine what a nine pounder would look like coming up to hit it. Great video

I just got a glide bait. New to the technique. I gotta say I didnt catch any thing on it but i can see how bass get mesmerized by it. Reeling it in had me watching the bait actually intrigued by it.

I kept getting nervous when the dog got close to the glide bait. My dog got a crank atuck in its mouth then tried to scratch it out and ended up with his right foot stuck to his mouth all on a 8.0 squarebill. Horrible day. Anyway i lobe the glide bait fish bro. Those were donkeys!!!
Bradley is pretty good about it! He’s only been stuck a couple times and when he has he just sits super calm and is crazy as soon as it’s out

I've found if you have one following just pull that glide bait a few feet and kill it .it'll drift to one side or the other when you kill it and thats when they smash it!

Man, I'd be worried to death that my dog would get a mouth full of hooks. Guess yours knows better by now. Still remember the time I left my box open and had to hold my dog with a mouth full of hooks while my dad drove to the vets... Not a great day for me, the kid that left the box open..

@@ryaningalls6084 he's pretty stoked about doing it. I do inshore saltwater tourneys (redfish, trout, flounder) so I'm no help for much to do with bass fishing. Guess I will go back to doing my thing once I get him graduated and off to college.

I've never fished a glide bait. What is your basic retrieve? Not sure if they will work well on Douglas Lake. Fishing is weird on this lake.

Just from my experience on Toledo Bend I have as you would say double crossed boned em. Total slaughter. Was some of the best fishing I’ve ever had. Would love to know why y’all don’t chunk em

secure152 yes I use the VMC 4/0 heavy cover flippin hook. It’s a straight shank. I also do change the hooks out on the glide. Normally to a 1/0

Brian Ladd so that rad is a discontinued swimbait rod from duckett. The reel is a 360 duckett casting reel paired with 25 lb Sufix advanced fluorocarbon

Is a 7’3” or 7’6” rod to small for throwing glide baits like the s waver 168!
Philip Ciamaichela you can throw it on the 7”6 heavy but normally I’ll throw a little bit longer rod. 7”9-8ft
