I think as sellers who are BUYING on etsy we tend to check out the store of the item we're interested in, whereas buyers who know nothing about Etsy tend to click on your listing from the search result page and then either purchase/inquire or click BACK to the search result page to continue looking at results - I've asked so many people if they actually click on the shop to "check it out", see if it's "cohesive", "attractive", etc. and most say no they do not... something to think about ;)

Hi Dylan, thank you for another super informative video. Your critique of the last shop touched on something I have been wondering about with my own, relatively new, digital shop (miepshandmapsh). Should the listing image be used to show the design as clearly and largely as possible since this is what i am actually selling or should the listing page be used to show examples/inspiration of how the design could be used? Hey Dylan! In my shop, I am focusing on the traveler. WestNinthAvenue is my shop and I create minimalist digital art prints representing destinations around the world (still building the collection). I also have started to sprinkle in pieces of a printable travel planner, starting with a bucket list, packing list etc, to also appeal to the traveler. I will eventually offer a full travel planner, and am open to suggestions for other products for the traveler. I like my aesthetic, but I feel like diversifying my shop will create some interest, and would love some feedback! (btw I opened in 2017 but just got serious :o). Thanks for your awesomeeee vids!

Question. In the store that had digital prints then did POD tee shirts for baking and camping, would you recommend two different stores, with different names? I appreciate the niche concept, yet if good in different areas, what is the best strategy for 2 or 3 different concept areas? Thank you!

Hi Dylan! As an Etsy seller myself, I've observed that many sellers who provide digital prints list them as physical items to offer variations. I'm considering doing the same, but I'm uncertain about how they add the tracking number. Does it affect the shipping score if I avoid adding a tracking number?

Hey Dylan, in my shop, a couple months ago I decided to start selling to business owners. But recently I discovered sales increase in Q4. But I couldn’t find many well selling business Christmas templates. So I decided to just make random listings that do well, is this bad?

I just started a digital shop and I was putting different digital products on but I decided it didn't make sense and I needed to focus. If someone bought some clipart from me they may want to come back to buy more, but if I have everything but the kitchen sink then they may be confused and want to go to a shop with just clip art. So I have decided on crocheting animals patterns. I would like to know if this is a good thing to sell.

Shop name is Unwilt and I currently have 57 sales.. I have a full time job and a bachelors in graphic design. I also do illustration. The dream would be to eventually be doing etsy full time. I am patient and just get started but would love to know how to get my products seen. I have only 5 listings and they aren't totally related.. because I am just listing things as I design them and think that other people might be interested... I have tried following SEO rules but am not sure if I am executing it well!

Thank you Dylan, fantastic video as always! I am Dilan, and my shop is called dlnstudio, I sell frame mockups, and I am very passionate about interior design, so I try to sell frame mockups in interesting interiors. Some of them work, and some of them don't, so I create general and more simple mockups, too. So, my problem is that even though my designs are liked by the customers, the sales are not enough; how can I make more sales? And, what kind of products can I sell about the interior besides the mockup? Your feedback would help me a lot, so hopefully, you can critique my shop :) Thank you in advance, and thank you for your excellent and helpful videos.
PS: I started my shop as an interior designer/ renderer and I still have those listings because even though I get project one in a while, the money is way better than the mockups, but I don't want to have an Etsy shop with a custom order (made to order) each time, I would like to have my products ready and sell them.

These are great tips. But it did feel slightly contradictory from previous videos. You say not to have a niche, but then on this video you said someone selling wall art and t-shirts is wrong because they are not complimenting each other. If they put there botanical/colours theme to the t-shirts that then becomes a niche, as you are only targeting people who like botanicals or certain colours. By doing what they are doing offers to a more broad audience.
Also, if you sell a variety of items like one of the shops you mentioned and then said they are not being clear about what they are selling but if they are selling different items, it makes it more difficult to put that across in a name or logo.
I am a little confused as at the begining you said not to just do wall art but add those images onto POD. If you haven't really made any sales, how would you know what to use for POD products.
As good as the tips were and think they were also very vague and not overly helpful... misleading video.
