I am a fan of the Trixbrix curves with their larger radii. The difference they make to the smooth running of trains (especially longer, modified ones) is amazing. Even the R56 is a lot better than Lego's R40 curves.

Try adding plates to the outside ends of the curves so the trains don’t tilt off the tracks from inertia.

Agreed, I have a large number of this plates in dark gray exactly for that reason. This layout was just built for a day to play around a bit. :-)

Great view - amazing that the trains dont tumble off. The R88 (under the bed) could take it at full speed! Envious :)

Great Video! :) Having so much space into the onw house must be great! What does your family say about you setting tracks throught their bedrooms? :-o

I put some chocolate on the trains and deliver it to them. Then it‘s fine for them. 😌

Do you use standard Lego train engines, or did you modify them? Did you modify the wheel axles with ball bearings? Is the video original speed or double speed?

Standard LEGO train motors, no ball bearings. In the last scene we have tuned the video speed a bit up. :-)

How did you make the trains so fast?
