At the Euros if the keeper is the captain then there is a dedicated outfield player who is allowed to speak to the ref. Surely it will be the same domestically …
I would want Butland as captain and Sterling as vice captain next season. A change of captain would signify a fresh era. A new generation is needed to bring the fanbase together.
Will Rangers even have a team for next season everyone leaving barely anyone coming in honestly think rangers will be terrible next season worse than last year clubs no money and the fans are toxic and delusional be lucky to even finish second next year at this rate
@@JohnMoffat-m9d Do you want to continue with a squad that has hardly won anything?Phil is getting rid of the problems finally and hopefully will build a squad to play his way.
Kabadayi concerns me in terms of injury record. The same goes for Barron but any player that signs will get a fair chance to prove themselves useful and show what they can do. However this board and manager better be prepared that if fans can check out and flag potential problems with injury and we start to fill yet again with sicknotes, they are going to be torn a new one by the fans verbally. Which is fair off the back of last season and the prior seasons. You can't have a manager that moans about injuries then goes and brings in more injury prone guys and if that happens for the record it will also be Koppens fault as well. The old saying goes, that feels possibly apt here, "you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink." I hope myself and many like me are wrong and we have a successful season ahead. I will gladly eat humble pie and bow at the feet of greatness if I am wrong.
Big players have left they need replacing with better players coming in,we still need that midfield enforcer.we all no defence is shocking, better defenders needed, look players going out shud raise more funds,we need QUALITY coming in
Height is irrelevant, all the best midfielders on the planet current and past have been tiny. Kante, iniesta, xavi, makelele, kimmich etc. All 5.7 to 5.9 in height. Ability always shines through past physicality in football. Cannavaro at cb is a great example of that
Our wage bill is approximately £26 million at the start of the 2023 season. Celtics was approximately £23 million. They are spending less on wages and beating us.
@@davidphillips1500No one has anyway of guessing lad, what another person thinks or already knows. I was supporting your comment lad, by showing and proving how much BS is spoken by others.
I hope the lad does well for us once he has signed, as it looks like he is. He has good ability and will be good for rotation with Raskin and Diomande. My concerns linger over his repeating injuries, but as someone pointed out to me last season he went the whole season without injury, so we shall see. Hopefully we have signed a good prime Ryan Jack replacement and not a sicknote Ryan Jack replacement. I wouldn't have signed him based on risk and off the back of a manager complaining about regular injuries but all we can do now is hope it works out. I am sure having a Scottish player in and around d the team who knows what it's all about will help. If it doesn't work out and the lad is perpetually injured the board and manager will be crucified for those or any kind of moves that show up as further sicknote additions now. Especially if fans can look at injury history and warn them.
Clement will lose his job if he continues with them, its on him. I accept that they probably won't be sold as other clubs are not daft, they know theres no value in them. So its on clement to identify them and drop them from the team, if he doesnt he wont be here next season and thats 100% a fact. We will not win a title with them two starting against celtic. Theyve been our Achilles heel fro 6 years now and celtic love it when they see them in the line up.
Stevie Clifford, that’s garbage your mentioning over and over that whole squad is on £30k/week, the wages of each player are available online - wages are a problem that needs to be addressed to sort operating costs/profit as it is skewed very heavily towards high end with Goldson on £37k/week and Tavernier on over £30k/week at top, cascading down, so please don’t make gross generalizations- it does your credibility no good!
I think was meaning as an average or approximately. Goldson is on £37k per week, Tav on £30k per week, Ben FN Davies is on £27k per week. The likes of Roofe, Lundstram and Borna were high earners that we are well rid of. Time for Tav, Goldson and Davies to go. Their output is not worth the wage. We should move them out and bring in less battle scarred, and ones who are hungry and players who get wage increases as they deliver titles. If they don't deliver regularly in terms of titles, they should be laughed out the room for asking for more money.
@@rangersnutAgree with you, guys at top end who represent poor value need to be replaced with hungry new players especially the likes of Tav, Goldson, Davies etc… Rangers have been lazy in managing these wage costs since ‘55… We just don’t need the ‘Stevie Clifford’ everyone’s on £30k/week interpretation - it’s not helpful!
Genuine question, why does this feel like an improtant issue to you? For me what Stevie said doesn't feel that big of a deal. I think Stevie was jusy giving an approximate for talkings sake. I don't speak for Stevie you would obviously have to ask him. @@andrewclelland9710
Yep. And about 250k pw should be out the door if all goes well. Nobody at rangers should be on more than 25k a week. Butland should be top earner on 25 and cascade down from him. Along with signing new players will the manager be bringing fresh faces into the medical department

I think the boy Barron has something about him, my only caveat is his height. In terms of height Kelly is far too small for a top level keeper imo.
