    Hi! Great content always, thanks. Quick question, do you insert needles without the guide tube? Cause that way seems to hurt more to myself

      Great question. I use a guide tube 90% of the time as I find patients prefer it to free hand needling - which can be more sensitive. I don’t use a tube when I needle on the scalp or if I need to be super precise with an acupuncture point. Thanks for watching, Eze! More to come. Send in any ideas if you have them! Take care for now.

      Acupuncture Masterclass thanks for replying. As a TCM student I find myself struggling with 四诊 (four methods of diagnosis). Common symptoms seem to lead to excess or deficiency depending on where it comes from, maybe not too clear to guess. It would be great if you could cover this topic, giving advice on what to consider with typical patients.

    Hi sir, does this technique can also apply to trigger point dry needling?

      Ganesan Ganesh Thanks for the question - and for watching! I do a lot of trigger point therapy and yes, I use the techniques mentioned in the video when inserting my needles. However, I think it is important to communicate to my clients what the trigger point acupuncture will feel like as there is likely to be more sensation than a typical acupuncture treatment. Muscle twitches and perhaps more pinching is possible given the amount of needle manipulation necessary for a successful trigger point treatment. Educating and communicating this to your patients will help them understand what they should be feeling - and will result in better treatment outcomes. I hope this helps. Stay tuned for more videos!

    what needles are you using? (brand and size)

    • @acupuncturemasterclass
      @acupuncturemasterclass  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question, Nicolette! I tend to have a number of brands at my clinic - I like the variety! However, for many of my points - I tend to use .20mm x 30mm. If I'm doing a lot of larger areas (legs/gluts, shoulders etc), I will use longer needles such as .20mm x 40mm or .25mm x 40/50/75mm. I hope this was helpful!
