- In this video i show how i make my basic snuffer bottle for sucking up gold.
A gold snuffer bottle is easy to make and you can do it yourself.
Iv'e had a lot of people asking for a video on it so here it is. sorry it took so long.

I went on a similar quest for the "golden," bottle. After several super markets and dollar store excursions I found these condiment bottles at a wholesale restaurant supply. They are opaque, but they are thick walled, and provide a powerful suction. Who doesn't like a powerful suction? : D Well worth the time, I have had several of the tiny premade snuffers split open on the seam, that is a distressing event best avoided.

Any links or sources where i can try these condiment bottles? I've tried squeeze honey bottels, soap bottles, many plastic water bottles and a suace bottle. Nothing that stands out or works as good as the little minelab snuffer bottle (which is too small for sniping).
That's it off to the supermarket for me and get me a 6pk sit down an watch some Tassie Boys while Steve goes an makes us some thanks for the info Levi.

Great little vid buddy, the simplest things are the best. I love the tink rattle tink as it goes up the brass when your under water.

On my crevice sucker I used aluminium tubing from an old TV antennae, just the right size.
It’s always nice to have everything you need just laying around.

Love your videos. Wish I could show you the snuffer I've used since '73. Battery acid test bulb and 1/4" plexiglass tubing. Has a string attached that I tie to rock hammer or gad bar so it doesn't disappear down river! Also use a weight belt that can be filled with rocks when I need to work deep.

How many trips does your bottle last before it either leaks or the plastis doesn;t bounce back well any more ?
At least 10 or more they last a long time

Does it have to be brass? I've rung bunnings and mitre 10 and none of them stock it. 5mm seems to be equally as rare as both stores only do down to 15mm in tube.
Any kiwis reading the comments ? What did you buy to remedy what I just mentioned.
****edit*** don't trust mitre 10. They have it but it doesn't show in system
A note for all viewers not in Australia. When Levi says "mill" in relation to measurements, he is talking about the metric unit millimetres (1/1000 of a metre), NOT the imperial unit mil (1/1000 of an inch).
25.4 mm = 1 inch.
For my small snuffer bottles I use some old car antennas ,cheers

Bunnings has 44 Gallon Drums I use 75 mm down pipe but some like the 90mm over the 75 it drys up the hole south Esk system later my pizza has just arrived must be covered in greens 🥬 like 🌶🥒🥬🥝lol
