There can never be enough of this show, Jared Keeso is an absolute genius. Please give us 10 seasons of this too, it's too funny to fail from where I'm stood.
This scene represents the one thing I feel is missing in most modern comedies, that the 80's nailed.. Those magical scenes with the perfect camera angles, perfect characters and the perfect music that tied it all together..
To me the whole show has something that most modern American comedies are missing….jokes. These guys aren’t afraid to be funny. For some reason everything here in the states gets washed out by scared network execs and everything ends up a morality play. Good to see the folks up north aren’t afraid to still put squeezers in their scripts
Shoresy, just like Letterkenny never cease to amaze me with the choice of music/songs in certain scenes like these. Absolutely brilliant stuff from Keeso and his people. Can’t wait for season 2, 3….
I love how dolo, goody, and hitch run in. Just got jumped on their way to the rink. Then when they get to the rink, they don’t hesitate to get into another brawl. Loyal to the soil
I'm not a hockey player, but the choice of music with shoresey just standing there getting himself over the anxiety and ready for an experience he knows is going to suck is so relatable through all aspects of life.
Yeah he was just catching his breath, shoresys character loves a barn burner and is known as the dirtiest player in the nosho which is notorious for scrapping anyway, I love this show
I love Keeso's use of slow-mo. Every other editor on Earth is inducing seizures with .5 second cuts to create action while his guys slow the action down so you can see every bit of it.
I mean, it was cool when Guy Ritchie pioneered that with Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels, and it was cool when he reused it during Sherlock Holmes’s planning next steps in a fight, but it’s been overused.
He's got another video that explains their fight scenes from Letterkenny. It's really hard to choreograph in slowmo because it makes fighs look really fake if the actors don't sell hits correctly and you have to film it just so with the right angles to hide that fact.
I'm an Appalachian American woman and I've never had even a spark of interest in hockey. I love the gravity of this show. I enjoy Letterkenny but have a much greater attachment to the team in this show than anyone else in LK.. two totally different tones. I enjoy seeing them fill in their roles and come together to take up the underdog mantle
Letterkenny will always have a spot in my heart, but it's getting long in the tooth. I think this was a brilliant move to make this show. To continue the Letterkenny legacy in a somewhat fresher way.
I love it to death but s10 was a nothingburger. Not a bad one mind you, just content that had less overall value to me than previous seasons. This is so fresh and even more well written that I can’t get enough. It’s like watching Wayne win his title back in S1 of Letterkenny all over again.
Jacob Tierney is a damn good director. His film the Trotsky, starring Jay Baruschel and Tiio Horn is great. It’s on Tubi and I recommend checking it out.
You can tell they were shooting for some high quality cinematography. There isn't one cut from when Nat comes into the scene until the title card. Watching Goody come in with that haymaker was a beauty. I bet they wanted a single cut for Shoresy working his through the opposite team (+Michaels) but they probably didnt have a take Keeso liked
Shit dude, I agree. Especially in one of the last scenes when he sits down and tells everyone they aren't beating the Sioux tonight. It looked straight out of a movie 💪
Theory: Shoresy is the half-brother of Katie and Wayne. 1. He’s adopted 2. It would account for (in the show) his resemblance to Wayne (yes, I know it’s the same actor) 3. Wayne and Katie were raised initially by strict religious parents (probably Mennonites), and then raised by their uncle after their parents died. I figure their dad had a romance with an English (a native, since Shoresy is part native) during his gap year, and they both decided to put him up for adoption since they couldn’t raise him together (he had to go back, and she was too young). This would make Shoresy a year or two older than Wayne and Katie.
Someone else brought this up. I said wayne and shoresy are twins separated at birth with the same dad. Hence the same face. I dont remember where but it was another comment.
The one part of this series which I skip over when re-watching is the part where Shoresy goes to meet his foster family. I thought that bit was terrible and not funny at all. I didn't understand why they even included it unless they just wanted to express their support for lesbianism, which doesn't really have anything to do with the show.
