We as black folk really need to watch this. This is the most heartfelt and touching documentary that I've seen in a long time. As a 50 year old father, my face was wet during the segment about King Carter. I felt the pain in his father's voice. The struggle continues. B1

Anthon story as well as the man that lost his 6 year old son to gun violence brought tears to my eyes. Anthon losing his father made me think about my grandfather that passed away who was my father. We do have a choice as black people who’s faced trauma due to our environment and our losses. You can either become what you been through or you can overcome it. The choice is yours!

The gun violence is disgusting. Violence can happen anywhere however it is much more common there. My condolences to every last person lost to gun violence. Stop saying that bullshit “military type weapon.” Firearms manufacturer do not sell consumers the same thing they produce for the military. We don’t use AKs, bootleg Macs, or even AR15s. Fully Educate yourself before publishing ignorance. All those dudes you see with the guns, I bet none of them have had any form of formal training to learns how to safely and accurately operate that firearm; yet alone allowed to own that firearm. They buy what they see on TV and in music videos or whatever they can get their hands on. I’m from Dade County, I know a few people in this video and related to a one. But we took different paths, they chose the “thug life,” I chose the military then law enforcement. The Circle of Brotherhood said it best: “guns don’t kill people, people with guns and bad intentions kill people.”
I love what this documentary shows because I’m sick of explaining to people there’s more to Miami than beaches and what’s shown in TV. But there is also good within these areas (which some was shown). I feel a documentary about the firearm community in Florida should also be shown, shoot, I’ll help.

This is crazy, the difference a city and circumstances make. I have been living in Miami for 24 years! They keep saying how bad "Miami is", I have never once ever concerned about being shot and i have been every where, not in personal ways to say i hang out in really bad spots but passing through to go to a store or food spot. Car accident is probably my biggest concern living in Miami. Hair spots in Miami Gardens, Vendors, Strip clubs, Food in Little Haiti, Opa Loka, Overtown. The way this show makes it seem like guns are on my back passing through, not saying this is not real it clearly is but clearly this is more rooted in small small circles.

A great point was made @ 45:55.. wherever there is spiritual illiteracy, there is a net of bad air ( coined luck ) casted out from that illiterate point; that's where "random" accidents happen rapidly and chaotically like bad chemical reactions

North Miami had their beef Eastside vs. Westside, a feud that bought the gang unit and the feds around.

I grew up in North Miami in the 80s and it was almost a completely White city with some Latinos back then. I don't recall any Gangs back then.

Im born and raised in the county of Dade. Liberty City too Carol City to 95 st and 27 ave. Looked up to Boobie and E4 in the 90's. I hate to say i miss those years and the gangsters because of the love and loyalty they showed me. I never understood it was two side of stories that involved murder drugs and kidnapping i used to think it was the way of life. Now I respect those soldiers but I personally rather live in peace and take care of my little family than be on the battle field with this new generation
