bomag 120 sl roller repair - brake engaging

the brake was engaging at low speeds going forward or reverse. The issue was a sensor under the seat.
move the sensor away from the mechanism enough so that it doesn't engage the brake.

After pulling mine apart. I’ve found that the reason for the brake locking up is slack in the handle due to the plastic bushing sliding out of the tube that rotates on the shaft. At 5:47 you can clearly see bushing slid far right it needs put back into the tube on the left.

You could be right, but the handle on mine didn't have much play. Hasn't locked up anymore. Thanks for the tip though.

Did you need to put a weight on the seat to disengage the brakes due to some machines having weight sensitivity

No weight on the seat was needed during the repair. I put it all back together and sat on seat to try it out.

Had the same issue. I put the plastic bushing back in its place and and it fixed the braking issue. Thank you.
