I have just purchased a Manticore after running the CTX3030 for 8 years. The 2D mapping system and engineering behind this machine is absolutely INSANE!! Lightweight, accurate, powerful and simply unbelievable machine. If anyone is thinking of purchasing this detector, you will NOT be disappointed. Hunted a few sites that have been smashed over the years and the advanced electronics on the Manticore are simply astonishing. Great video brother and thanks very much for sharing. All new Manticore users should share as much as possible with what is undoubtedly the very BEST detector that Minelab has produced.
It sure is a fantastic Metal Detector @Lisa R I'm having lots of fun sharing and showing what it can do so far. And we haven't even hit the best sites yet either😉⛏️
Thanks so much for watching with us tonight @Deanne Lewis that Manticore is seriously impressive so far to hunt with and its turning old sites into new again! I can't wait to share round two at old Don's with this machine again very soon😊⛏️
And kudos for the "S" part given to Dazza, an excellent piece of history, that Surveyors laurel badge, a generous act, Cheers, and great good luck to you for such excellent finds.
So enjoyed seeing you work the Manticore, Luke! I like how you can envision the situations, like the number of children receiving the coronation medallions at school, and then they'd have mucked around with their own coronation ceremonies, dropping other items from the house, that square silver thingy, no idea, but looking forward to the story, the manufacturer can easily be looked up too, dinky design to the thimble, if you'll heat it up a little before bending into shape, so the metal isn't as brittle, once it dries, fresh out of the ground. The Manticore 2D display and non/ferrous discrimination lines, and the ideas for what you feel you've missed from your super items sites you're feeling fearlessly free to fossick, we're darned looking forward to seeing these!!, with newsworthy finds, so it shames, I really mean this, they should be publicly shamed, and exercise contrition and apologize, an act of reclamation of the public domain as belonging to everyone and not that crew of hermetic colonial walloping wallopers. Changes afoot ahead?! Best of luck, cheers to the family and all the Dig It Detecting community, missing the live chats but enjoying time with family juniors, laying solid foundations as your good self, LP! 👍🥚
Im really glad you enjoyed watching @andrewrobinson3191 I was super surprised to see just how much is still at this site to find with the Manticore...I can't wait now to share round two👍⛏️
Thankyou so much @lanenebraska3322 I am so glad you enjoyed watching🙂 The new Manticore is an absolute beast on those missed targets. It's like a whole new site to detect...even after 7 years of hunting. The smaller coils rock👌😁⛏️ Stay tuned until the next, cheers heaps again👍👍
Thanks so much for the new Sub @larrystephens7437 the new Manticore has been so awesome to show off on film so far. I can't believe just how much it found at a site that has been so well worked prior. Just amazing! I look forward to checking out more of my old sites and sharing what it can do. Cheers heaps again Larry🤝👍⛏️
Thanks heaps again @Working925detecting this site made my metal detecting look easy I swear! After 7 years hunting, still some great stuff to pull out of that ground. I can't wait for round two with the mighty Manticore soon👌 Cheers heaps mate🤝👍⛏️
I'm a tad confused... You have the same amount of "good finds" and rubbish than with a detector from the late 90s, so why bother with an expensive gear like the Manticore? Same on the beach. I watch plenty of videos featuring Manticore, Legend, Equinox or Deus, and people will dig on any target, and their wrap up ratio is 1 good find to 20+ trash like I do with my Fisher 7a pro. So why bother? What is the point?
You're absolutely right. I bought an Equinox 800 6 years ago and it's still producing the goods. I don't know why people bother "upgrading" to a 900 or a Manticore.

Way to go Luke👍🙂 I think the smaller coils sniff out the coins much better. The 6 inch coil for the equinox/X Terra series will get it all 😀🙌

Escutcheon. That lock key cover your describing is an escutcheon.
Your spot on there @ianmoone2359 I just couldn't think of the name whilst filming this day. Normally I remember the name but pronounce it wrong😂
They are slightly deeper, is the only real justification. Plus, people love gadgets with cool screens.
