the audacity of people to make comments about her body and face as if she exists just to appeal them, just to arouse them, just to make them jealous. it’s disgusting. she’s beautiful no matter what. women don’t have to be a certain shape. women don’t solely exist to be sexy or cute. idols are humans too.

Unfortunately, many people view performance artists as puppets for their amusement.
People with this mindset shut themselves off from ever getting to know artists like Hani as people, which is a shame, as well as being wrong.
I was fortunate enough to get to know EXID as people, before I listened to their music.
Hani is an intelligent, interesting, charming lady.
I could spend a day just chatting with her.

The word "idol" makes the lines blurry, there's definitely toxic people who believe they're objects worth criticism. It's like how dare they ate, be imperfect, show human emotions, not be a good enough singer, not be a good enough dancer and so on. I know we’re all watching this video, but for TV and radio shows to be constantly asking about diet and doing “surprise” weigh-ins is so fucked up. I used to teach kindergarten in SK (like 10 years ago) and even the kids didn’t like to be weighed (we had one lesson in the curriculum about what objects were “heavier” and “lighter” and one activity suggested bringing in a scale so they could see their own weights). I never had body dysmorphia as a freaking kindergartener, so I didn’t think it was problematic back then to follow the activity. But these kids kept justifying their weight and saying they were fat. I brought it up to the parents and low-key blamed them for making those precious angels think about weight at 6 years old. At that age, their health is the parent’s responsibility. They feed the kids refined wheat and sugar, then make them feel like being fat is their fault?? (These kids were not fat, by the way, even by Asian standards.) Ugh, I’m getting mad just remembering it...

To me i just think the change in her face is due to the change in her hair. This is the best way I can describe how I think the hair changes her face as an idol when she had no fringe her hair was kind of shaped away from her face like this -> ( , whereas in 2020 her hair was shaped towards her face like this -> ). At least this is what i think, I might be off by a bit. But change in face does not always mean plastic surgery.
Edit: I was looking for the word curtain bangs, as an idol she had a minor curtain bang situation on her head. idk if it's a full curtain bang so this is the best way I could describe it.

Hm I had full firm thighs like that when I was a teenager. Now I'm 24, still weighing the same, have never yoyo dieted but my thighs lost a lot of its youthful firmness. I think it's just that people age and they lose the collagen in their skin. It's normal and human. Sadly that's why idols usually end their careers in their 20s. I'm so sad she changed her nose...I knew it would happen eventually considering the way people treat her but man, it was such a defining feature and she had a unique look. She is always beautiful, but it is sad to see how she feels it necessary to do this and the fact that they talk about it as though it is normal! I also highly recommend a drama she did called You Raise Me Up- don't be turned off by the funny name/premise (it's about a guy with erectile dysfunction lol)- it actually features some refreshing writing and really important themes for Korean society. Expect nothing less, if the diets and exercise are so strict along with a busy schedule. You just avoid food all together, in some cases idols have done this and also admitted to it. They also lack energy, there was a point where idols would literally faint on stage. Basically exhaustion plus malnutrition.

Like let them be, it's their body, it's not like they fans/ haters have the right to control their life.

The same goes to talk about diet, I mean maybe there are some young people that look at that and try it because have low self confident, specially youngers.

Idols are very active, so they of course need more food to prevent damaging their bodies. It's also horrible that many idols don't even get paid, or get paid very little. If you as a company can't afford to pay people, then you shouldn't be in business.
