    Love the spectacular views and hidden waterfall..one of the top places for hiking in Costa Rica

      I absolutely agree. It is one of our favourite places we have seen. The view alone was reason enough for the hike but all together it really makes for a great experience and active day out. The waterfall was a great place for a lunch break and well deserved rest.

    I like to take coco nut like that. The white is soft pulp. So much activities in this travel. I always enjoy watching the water ...from afar. Agreat hiking destination really.

      It was really nice to take coconuts like that to enjoy. We used the milk and pulp for quite a few purposes while staying there. The volcano park is a great hiking destination indeed as there are more hikes than one can fit in one day. So perhaps we will return and do the others next time we are near the area.

    The waterfalls and views were beautiful! But that looked like a tough hike 😮

      It was quite a tough hike, especially the last part toward the view and the climb to the waterfall afterwards. Especially in the middle of a hot day. But still absolutely worth the trouble. That view is just amazing. 🤩

    I remember seeing this before when you were pet sitting/house sitting! How lovely to come back to this place. I loved the hidden waterfall in particular!

      It was quite nice to revisit the area. Too bad the restaurant has new owners as we sat there quite often due terrible internet at the house. The volcano park really is one of the best highlights we have done, that view really is mesmerising. This week I'm actually working on another hike on the far opposite end of that view. But that won't be due for a while. The waterfall itself was a nice place for a well deserved break and lunch.

    Beautiful, the secret water fall is beautiful. Amazing video

    I would be scared of that extreme risk of volcanic activity!😱

    • @BakkerfeelingAdventures
      @BakkerfeelingAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, one thing I must say is that they do close the sections of parks when there is a risk. We have been at closed doors at one of the big volcano along the road trip and in this one, the trail to the crater and an entire sector were closed. Not much thrilling events to happen, but enough to keep visitors at bay. It does add to the general excitement and for me it's just fascinating all together. And in any other case it will be Up Up and away as far as we can run! 🤣

    Such lovely views. A hidden waterfall is so fun. I love the images of the landscapes, the volcanic activity, the waterfalls and the fauna. Very nice. Good details for those that will go to these places you suggest. 😂😂

      Thanks! It really is an amazing place but too big for just one day. We'll have to return for more. It is such a great place to enjoy nature, hiking and all there is to see. Those views were my absolute favourite though. Very interesting place and well worth the visit. 😄

    I was amazed by the beauty of the Fumarolas and the crazy looking grasshopper at 10:57. It looks like your telephoto picked up brush or forest fires in the distance. Hopefully they aren’t a big problem there.

    • @BakkerfeelingAdventures
      @BakkerfeelingAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really was an amazing sight to witness (Fumaroles). As for the grasshopper, it seems like it's covered with moss or mold as part of its camouflage. Quite an impressive creature to observe. As for the forest fires, in the tropics, farmers often slash and burn forests to clear fertile land for crops. The practice involves cutting down vegetation and burning it. But the soil's fertility does not last long, so the farmers must clear a new patch of forest every few years. So we see this quite often during specific times of the year. especially from high up you will see many of those (controlled) fires. Well spotted by the way.

    Now I want a coconut picked right off of the tree. I haven’t had one in a long time. Great video

      That was actually the first time for me. It was when we just had arrived in Costa Rica on our first house sit assignment. I had even never hold a machete before so the whole experience to stay in a place like that was quite nice. Coconut trees, banana trees, the jungle environment and a bunch of chicken, real local. 😄

    WOW i did not know Volcano's were that active. What stunning locations you both explore. Have you done a photo book before with all of your stunning photo's?

    • @BakkerfeelingAdventures
      @BakkerfeelingAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh yes, some volcanoes have quite the activities going on. In Lanzarote they even cook chicken over a hole in a volcanic cave. But this was quite impressive to watch too. Stunning places indeed. This one is among our favourites though. As for a photo book, besides posting on Instagram, not really. But I do have a massive amount of stunning pics I'd love to share as my Instagram isn't doing all that much for me.

    Gosh those trees!! That root system of the fallen log looked like it would make an interesting still shot.
    Did you need to buy your own car to get around or did you hire one? Always interested how difficult it is to purchase a car in a country that you are not a citizen of. 😊

    • @BakkerfeelingAdventures
      @BakkerfeelingAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The sizes of some of these trees is as impressive as the way they grow with those massive roots. As for your question, we actually bought our car in the first weeks of our arrival here 2 years ago. Which was super easy and done in 2 days. Waiting for the money to be transferred took longer than the actual buying of the vehicle. Absolutely no problems with the whole process and definitely a money saver as after 6 months we already had spend less than if we would have been renting one.

      @@BakkerfeelingAdventures that’s good to know re the car. It must make things a lot easier and cost effective. 😊

    • @BakkerfeelingAdventures
      @BakkerfeelingAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@supchick5757 Absolutely. It gives us a lot of freedom. Above as all during our house sits we barely use it. And a scratch is less of a big deal. 😂
