I do believe the story of the wise men. I read once that they might have been Zoroastrian, it I don’t remember the reading behind that idea. It makes me wonder about the scribes and teachers who told Herod - what they considered his intentions might have been with the knowledge of their Messiah. I think this shows how cunning evil can be. Also, that God provides a way forward and through and gives discernment like he gave the wisemen.
That's such a good point about the scribes. Now I also want to know what they were thinking. What you said about evil being cunning but God making a way anyway reminds me to trust in God even when evil things happen. He is with us and for us and we can trust and follow him always.
