    Damn...Texas knife laws are awesome! I’m in Oklahoma. When I was 18, I started carrying a small fixed blade on my belt. Blade was about 3 1/2 inches. A cop noticed me walking to the store, saw the knife hanging on my belt, arrested me, and I never saw the knife again. On the up side, my cell mates taught me how to use a pencil lead and electrical outlet to light cigarettes made from dried chewing tobacco rolled in Bible paper. So, there’s that. :D

    Consider this: when you wear lace-up shoes or hiking boots; substitute the laces with paracord. They last a long time and will not break. Also, a great emergency "tool".

    Love edc and pocket dumps. I'm the same way with color choice. Stick with mostly brown and od green. And that condor kephart is an amazing. There are many other knives that are amazing but the kephart is cheap and great.

    Slight differences to what I carry with slight variations for environment, can't carry fixed blade knives where I am at present so just one SAK with a small multitool, a small tin of petroleum jelly instead of lip balm (fantastic for fire lighting in cold/wet environments). A small cheap phone as it's light and battery lasts over a week with a tablet containing my outdoors/survival/foraging ebooks, some zip lock bags for waterproofing or taking advantage of a foraging opportunity. EDC is a good opportunity to learn what is needed on a small scale as opposed to having pockets/book bags full of junk. Thanks for the vid!

    You can sharpen a chisel grind just like a normal grind and they will become super sharp! And the serrations will disappear over time ! I put a rubber band around my lighter right under the red lever to keep the butane from escaping also !

    • @JunkyardFox
      @JunkyardFox 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i actaully had the traditional blade version but i actually prefer the chisel grind, serrated one. great for edc uses like cutting carboard, zip ties, plastic. the chisel grind makes it extremely simple to sharpen.

    Have you thought of reshaping the grind on your serrated knife. Yes it would take some time/effort but certainly doable. Use different grades of grit wet/dry sand paper from rough to fine. The TH-cam channel "Maddy the Goose" has a vid on how he made a simple set up for sandpaper sharpening/stropping kit that can be carried in the field. Great EDC vid as well.

    Say Heah KY, This time of year, I practice in rotation some of my combinations of tool and gear. Today after practicing with my Bokor Black Rold and my Mora Classic #1 I attached to the handle strap on my Nylon Belt Loop I put on the Sheath because it was dangerously loose, Anyhow, I switched to my Ratweiler with my Rodent Solution I made a Piggyback with. It's a bit heavy, But I defenetly could trust my Life on it. I also like to add a Hatchet and saw, Especially this time of year, I like my 24" Council Wood Craft Pack Axe with the Heavy Duty Sheath and Sling, I also got a Axe Holster and a Large Ferro Rod made by Eugene at reviewsog.com. But today I took my 17 "Hultafors Bruks Agdor Hatchet instead of my Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe, But on snowy and wet days I like to go stainless, Like my A-1 with my Mini Pendleton or my Arvensis 119 with my Coye Ridgeback that I concocted a Piggyback with the two knives. Some of tge stuff I have posted on my Google Plus, The pictures are off the Internet, But I have everything I posted, if you care to check it out go to Google Plus and search Paulie 4X and tell me what you think Ok. Also lemme wish you a:

      If your going to use it alot, Like I do because of tge cold weather to stay warm, My 24" Council Wood Craft Pack Axe is starting to be one of my Fav's. It's a little longer and a little heavier, but not much, But enough to notice how good it makes short work out of processing firewood, Don't get me wrong, I like my Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe, Infact I got my 17" Hultafors Bruks Agdor Hatchet because one, I got it on a closeout, But it's just a bit heavier than my S. F. A. and compact. But the G. B. S. F. A. I like too because I can belt carry it in a Axe Holster which Eugene makes at reviewsog.com. But then I got the Heavy Duty Sheath and Sling so I Baldric Carry my 24" Council Wood Craft Pack Axe. For long term, I would get the Council, it's also made in the U. S. A. ,, .

    Texas can't have knives that are 5 inches? here in GA we can carry 5 inch knives and double bladed ones too!

      texas is super strict. even bowie knives, our state knife, is illegal here lol

      +Junkyard Fox that sucks. I believe we can carry them in GA. back in 2012 a state law was passed that local laws don't effect what you carry, only state laws and it doesn't say you can't carry them.

      +Schroeder_2000 well the laws have changed but there are still some stupid laws still in effect... In Tx we can now carry autos, knives up to 5 1/4" but safe to say keep it around 5" and no double edged knives... So no pig ticklers....

      james harris Cool but I live in Canada...pretty far from the desert...well unless you count winter as a cold white desert. ;) still if you build boxes and fill them up with soil it might work better than in the desert soil. Plus it would require less water to hydrate it.

    Was this a social experiment to see who would notice that you displayed not only your driver's license info, but your bank login and password? If this was by mistake, I hope you've changed that info since publishing this video. For your sake, I would recommend not doing that, buddy. Stay safe.
