In those days, all hope seemed lost.
The mighty Valerie had made the world to be a paradise, but the Great Enemy, Morgoth, undid their works.
He deceived the hearts of Man, letting corruption into their hearts, and suffering followed everywhere they went.
So the gods forsook the world of Man, unable to look upon their creation.
A great Shadow blanketed the world. Disease, famine, war, and betrayal filled the land.
And the humans cried out to the heavens, begging to know why their gods had forsaken them, to know the reason for their suffering. There was no answer. The gods had gone silent.
When the darkness in the hearts of man had finally reached its peak, shadows engulfed the world. The ancient kings shook in their gilded halls while the mightiest heroes cowered in the dark. They had given up all hope. Their gods had left them.
From the ashes of the broken world, a single figure emerged from the darkness. The only warrior on an endless battlefield.
Her hair was violet. Her eyes gleamed with a fierceness never seen by mortal men. Her beauty defied all description.
In the light of her flaming sword, despair turned to hope, enemies became friends, suffering turned to strength.
The voices of those condemned to this world cried out in agony. They thought she was a mortal woman or some hero come to save them.
Little did they know they were standing in the presence of a goddess.
The mighty Nienna, the most powerful of the Valar, had come to rescue them in their darkest hour.
But the people did not comprehend this. They shouted at her, telling her that hope was lost, suffering was a part of the world, and they could not be saved.
She was beaten, bruised and attacked, sometimes by the very people she was protecting, but she kept marching on.
These people thought they did not deserve saving, but she kept fighting because she would never give up on them.
Never.
Where is she now?
She never left.
If you listen closely, you can still hear the cries of those condemned to suffer in this world.
And where you hear that sound, she is still marching on, fighting to save the world of Man.
And if you see her, don't be afraid. Fall in step behind her, and join her ever growing army.
For I was once a mortal man like you, but she saved me from that place, and brought me back to life.
One day, she will wipe the tears from every eye, and suffering will end.
But until that day our army marches on, behind our goddess.
