I am super impressed with your videos. I just found your channel and it is the type of info I look for, comparing equipment with opinions based on your experience. I am not in the land management business, yet. Just studying products and businesses so far. I would like to hear your opinions on the different types of mulching heads and brands. Thank you and keep the great videos coming!
Thank you for the information I’ve been thinking about getting a skid steer to mulch some and use around the farm mainly I’ve been wanting do a little work on my two weeks off at a time
Great reviews bud! I’ve been running cat for awhile now for all my dirt and these reviews are really helping me decide which way to go for me expanding my clearing business.
I am looking to get my feet wet in this skid steer business. I am normally off on average 4 months a year and I would like to start a side business that could potentially go full time. I can run equipment, I am no stranger to that. Would it be safe to buy a 75 horse machine with the high flow set up for mulching? Although I don't think it will be mulching full time, I will do just about anything with it to get work dirt work, mowing, building fences "post hole digger", etc. Thanks in advance
I would absolutely avoid the 75hp market. One reason is it waves a big flag that says “I only do this part time” so that’s worth considering when trying to land jobs. Also once you’ve run a 100hp+ skid for very long, you’ll even wish it was bigger. Most important reason though is that while the full size skids weren’t made for mulching typically, the 75 certainly weren’t made for it no matter what your dealer says and it will majorly stress the cooling system. I’ve seen people with more reliability issues with the smaller machines as well.
I think it depends on where you are. In Florida I see many people with 75 HP units and do fine. If you're doing small soft wood it seems like 75 HP works but I am sure 100+ Hp is always better but i guess you should probably consult with some of them if you are near Florida
Fantastic video! Please don't ever try to race your hydraulics. Have a 2nd person outside to set the cylinder lock. No human is faster than gravity, and that bucket would drop and squish you in the blink of an eye. There are some ugly vids on the interwebs if you're wondering just how quickly it happens. I've knocked CAT & ASV both heavily for not just having a dead bolt like Deere and CNH.
Forestry package is alright on the Deere, but not really that helpful other than the guard for the hydraulic quick connects. Would’ve liked to see a few slight performance upgrades on the forestry package
Decent machine, but not as good on paper or in reality in my opinion. It does have some things better than a Deere for sure but not on the whole. But hey, it’s all about personal preferences once you stop comparing on paper so that’s all fine!
Enjoying the reviews! Now we just need the asv review to bring it full circle

Ive had a bobcat t770 and a deere 333g. Both great machines
Great videos! Glad to see honest reviews, they are hard to come by.
Thank you sir!
When’s that ASV review coming
good honest review. On a side note, I couldn't help notice the 2 strokes noise in the background...sweet music to my ears!

One is none... two is one. Extras always save the day!
Would love to see you get your hands on a Case TV620B if you get the chance !

Glad I could help!
Thanks for the review man! Well done
Thanks for watching!
Are you still clearing land? How’s it going?
Enjoying the reviews as a guy looking to possibly get into the business. Could you do some reviews on your preferred attachments.
Have considered it, thanks!
Great review
Where r u guys out of?
Thanks. You just talked me out of considering a JD fir mulching unless they solve so e of these problems with the new 335 coming out.
Any idea on what the part # is for the front coupler guard? Our JD dealer has no clue here.
Not sure the part number but gm manufacturing is where mine came from.
Can you share the link to them? Thanks@@matthewdebord770
Thanks for posting the video a lot of good information. Have you had any experience with the Takeuchi for mulching?
I don’t, but planning to partner with someone who does here pretty soon to make that video.

Please, if u get any opportunity to do the same video on any different brand......that would be the cats meow!
Kubota, bobcat, techa!!!!
Should’ve got the forestry package

Yeah, I was just looking at the brand new one forestry John Deere trying to decide on which loader I should spend $160,000 on
There won't be any comparison to a Takeuchi after you have operated one
Nice Vid!
Has this guy never heard of a bobcat T870 or T86????

O just bought one for 118k and after 100 hours my hydraulics gave out
That stinks!
Yea, thanks for the video. It made my mind up. Not buying a John Deere! Just not worth the money in our opinion!
