      @@TJXHTit's not good, it's essentially like having one speaker not stereo and the earpiece with calls is an odd experience. if the p5 simply had a normal design instead of the earpiece being covered by glass it would have been perfect.

      Interesting because on paper the 7 is much better than the 5. (Except for the unlimited Google photos storage, smaller size and symmetrical bezels). Luckily a used 5 is much cheaper than 400.

    • @dimitrischristou
      @dimitrischristou ปีที่แล้ว

      looking in hindsight, I think that it could be a rebranded Pixel 5a (because the actual pixel 5a was not that much different from the 4a). Or maybe not…Who knows

    • @ImportantTech
      @ImportantTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dimitrischristou Thanks for the comment! I'm not sure, but it wouldnt surprise me because the 5 was definitely lacking some features that the 4 had. The 5 has worse speakers, plastic back instead of glass, missing the telephoto lens, no motion sense. But that doesn't mean that the pixel 5 is a bad phone of course.

    • @dimitrischristou
      @dimitrischristou ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ImportantTech Of course not! I love its design, especially the green/mint colour it came in. I also love those symmetrical bezels.

    Will pixel 5 get android 14? Also how the haptic compared to other pixel, and the battery on android 13? What is your opinion bout that

    • @ImportantTech
      @ImportantTech  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The pixel 5 will get to android 14, but not android 15. I didn't really notice a big difference in the haptics compared to my older pixels. The haptics are great.
      Battery life is decent. You can get through a day. But if you use it a lot then maybe you need to charge it during the day. Battery life also depends on if you buy a heavily used one or a good condition pixel 5.

      @@cobaltblue5523 I have never used the 4a, but I have used the 4a 5G. The 90hz screen makes a huge difference in my opinion. And having the ultrawide is also really nice if you are coming from the 4a. The speakers are definitely a weak point of this phone. I think the 4a 5g sounds better. Also my older pixel 3 sounds better. The speaker isn't great, but I have heard worse speakers on phones.

      I think the 6a will probably get longer support from Google. So if you don't mind having no symmetrical bezels, no unlimited google photos storage and no 90hz, then the 6a is probably a better option

    I’ve been in the market of getting this particular phone after having isssues with my iPhone after that recent firmware update I had to be forced into updating to it in order to get past a boot loop issue. Plus I’ve been feeling like I’ve been having that sense of carpal tunnel with it after a few years of use.
    Along with it feeling the most compact feeling and it being the only phone to still have free unlimited storage when uploading to Google Photos, it ended up being more of a reason to want to switch over, even if it means losing stuff like the telephoto lens.

    • @ImportantTech
      @ImportantTech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. The Google photos unlimited backup is definitely one of the biggest reasons why it is my main phone right now. I really like to have a telephoto lens, but the pixel 4 battery life isn't good at all. And while the 7 pro does have a telephoto lens, the newer pixel 7 pro is bigger and doesn't have the unlimited storage option. It's also a lot more expensive.

    • @keijijohnson9754
      @keijijohnson9754 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ImportantTech Yeah well that line will be a lot more expensive after the announcement of the Pixel Fold. Cool thing but all things considering, I’d still go for the Pixel 5. Only other alternative would be going for the Galaxy S10e for its expandable storage and headphone jack.

    I was sooo excited about getting this phone... Great camera, great performance, stock android, light weight, small display.
    And then I heard the crappy speakers. Lol, I'm so sad but I really don't wanna go through the process of returning it since it was second hand.
    I couldn't really check the sound quality until I just got home, and is ridiculously bad... No bass whatsoever, it sounds thin and weak wich is bad since the pixel 3 had a loud ass speaker. i understand why this one had to be weaker in order to get symmetrical and thin bezels, but they could've done better, at least a little eq...
    The phone is great if you find it below $200, but have in mind you'll definitely have to always use a portable speaker or headphones for music.

    • @ImportantTech
      @ImportantTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1
