@@Dreamdancer11 LOL I've seen a few instances where people thought as you do and found out otherwise, Kung Fu works and has for over 1500 years, unfortunately, many schools in China eventually switched to more WUSHU style performance sport, and thus much of what people call Kung Fu now really isn't real Kung Fu anymore and more of a dance as you mentioned. As a DJ I've witnessed and even stopped a few fights in the club. And I had one security guard once say what you said "That kung fu stuff don't work" this story was retold to me I'd even forgotten it happened LOL my friend said the guy said that then said let's see you try and within a split second after he squared off I had arm scissored the guy to the ground and as he looked up from the ground he wheezed back up in a broken breath... "I guess I was wrong" Dude I don't even remember that shit LOL I do remember another one though that guy I leg Scissored super fast my sister said he thought I was just gonna punch or kick and he'd outmaneuver me and put me in a hold, something he'd done to countless karate and taekwondo guys as if they don't teach how to get out of most holds and locks in white belt and lower belt in Shaolin Kung Fu. Now I mastered that flying leg scissor technique for years starting around Brown belt and was 2nd Black belt at the time, I have taken down all size people with both leg scissors and tiger tail sweeps, even 6'5" behemoths until one time around 4th black belt we trained at a out of state school that had a mat one time and the guy's foot stuck to the mat and thus his ankle broke I felt so damned bad for years that I kind of put that technique away for the most part and also realized why most of the Shaolin Schools train on what we call fuzzy concrete, that is a concrete floor with a thin layer of carpet over it. This way you learn how to fall properly, and your foot slips and slides a little more freely on most sweeps keeping your joints and bones safer. And it helps you be more prepared for the street if you cannot do your techniques on a carpeted concrete floor what makes you think you won't get hurt on a concrete sidewalk, street or asphalt etc... when it matters? In anycase there are plenty of stories of F around and found out from current and former students as well as many averted situations that were deescalated because of the calm nature of the students and their confidence in their ability.
@@TheDJEmir Someone should cancel your netflix subscription cause your imagination runs wild...never see a single person in a real pro fight using kung fu to win....even if someone is a kung fu practitioner when its time to fight he devolves in a poor version of a kick boxer so even if wins a fight he never uses kung fu to do it...
Now in real life the thing that matters is who can take a hit(cause most people cant fight for shit)...just like how you train for pull ups..is to do more pull ups..there is no other way around if you get into more fights you ll find out quickly what works and what not....i would take a random bouncer over the most prestigious kung fu "master" to protect me if my life was on the line....bitchslap is still the superior martial art for 99.9 percent of the population....
