I hope that someone close with you encourages your emprovement of both states of your mind and helps you through the stress and struggle you overcome. And I hope, you know somewhere, you are enjoyed and cared about. And your improvements will be as great as you imagine. Be safe man, thank you for our small connection.
These messages speak to me way too much... This is really almost creepy, especially with the fact it turned to 9:59 as soon as I watched it... Like, I don't get creeped out but much, this has done it... It resonates with me very much, I do hope you are alright... I'm not sure exactly what to say but, I know what I would want would be for someone to say "Let's start, together" then I wouldn't feel so alone in it all... I'd have more of a reason to do something, because I'd be doing it for them. I don't want to do something for myself really, I don't feel worth it so much of the time. It's difficult... I hope you can find someone to do it together with, sometimes it's easier that way. I wish I had better advice but... I'm in it too, at least you are alone in how you feel if that helps. Thanks for the animation and for startling me lol 💙
We’re going to be patient, please don’t worry about us. You and your mental health are the most important things, no matter what. I’m not going to say those are common feelings and everyone has them, but you’re definitely not alone in feeling like this. Also your art is amazing
0:24 I feel you man I feel like no one is as slow as me. I'm able to reconcile myself by saying that the results I give out are better anyway, and it's true, sometimes I'm even the best at what I do, I'm just never the fastest. I thought I would be able to live with that tradeoff, and it did work for a good while, but now, my speed, or lack thereof, is impacting my own life and some of my close friends too. I'm currently seeking for help with either therapy or psychology, whatever is able to provide me a solution without costing too much. I hope you find yourself somewhere to work, someone to love and something to reach for. Best luck
You will absolutely improve, it just takes longer for some and shorter for others. Some people are progressing really quickly, but you don’t need to compare yourself to anyone and how fast you’re improving. Comparing yourself to others is what kills motivation and makes anything seem less worth doing when in reality, everybody is just different and that can be accepted. You may see someone who is super incredibly good, but find out that it took them quite a long time to get to where they are. You can do more if you feel like it, but you can absolutely just take your time and grow at your own pace and practice when you want. Your hobbies are meant to be fun, not something to drag you down when you look at others doing it. It’s hard sometimes, but it gets easier the further you go. We believe in you man :] Really cool animation too! I love how you drew the hand not just growing, but separating from itself, that is such a cool way to draw that
this is one of the things i will just endlessly call true art out of so many other "real" pieces out there being made by so many people thank you for this
I'd call it a solid bit of experimenting around perspective and some horror anatomy. There isn't always a need for a piece of creative work to be made with a theme or name in mind. It is absolutely just as worthwhile to create whatever random thing you feel like creating, as ultimately the process itself will be a learning experience no matter what, whether that be refining what you can already do or trying something of a completely new direction. So every frame you draw is another step along your journey. Sure, it's easier for viewers to enjoy what you put out there if there is some sort of narrative to be found in a work, but, as you can probably tell by this comment section, that is definitely not a necessity to have for putting something out there. People can just as well get inspired off of a bit of creative randomness and appreciate the art for the process and effort that went into it. I hope any of that gave you at least some inkling of encouragment (yes, I can write confidently like that and still find myself doubting the results, you are very much not alone).
Now this is character desing And no im not joking if alan becker can do master pieces only with stick figures you can too But now i want to see the rest of the transformation Also don't push yourself burnout ins't something i can dropkick (not yet tho)
Finally, someone else who sees the endless possibilities of stickman artistry. They can become fascinating, yet eerie creatures in the hands of the right artist.
I think your art is amazing and we all grow at different rates. So don’t worry if you think you are growing slower than others. I am too, and im still improving and my art is considered pretty good to others. Your art is just.. amazing. The idea of the video is interesting and the way the guy grew fingers out of fingers and then the whole hand just falls off. Like who thinks of something like that?! We all have different imaginations, but yours is just truly amazing!
You're doing great! I loved your ultrakill animation. Btw the way the art style of this one is actually pretty cool. It kinda reminds me of Nosleep666(same vibes I mean)
a i can see this guy improving greatly in the future and becoming quite popular. i liked this tiny animation, specially how the stickman growed its fingers. neat.
The need to improve is a creeping feeling that tries to take you over and become you. Its okay not to improve and not to be as good as others and it's okay to grow slowly if you truly want to
I totally feel you about getting distracted while trying to learn something, and it really sucks. But when I actually stop to take my time to do it, which I'm not saying you should be forcing it but taking your time, I see improvement, and I hope that by this comment you could see improvement on your animation skills too, which are honestly already sick
i think i can relate , but it isn"t a race , everyone starts at different points , everyone start with different upbringings that might or might not give them certain gifts , but once you start comparing yourself with others ,you might lose track of your own progress , i think as long as you have a certain CLEAR destinations ,no matter how far or close they are , you'll at least feel a little less like you're being tumbled by the currents . set deadlines, that also might help keeping you focused, do timers , challenge yourself and ... reward yourself when you're done. i think you might already know all of this ,but i think you're on the right track, reflection is the step1 for change ... you just need to not be satisfied with step1. oh,and also.... i wish i had more time too....
The person you see growing the fastest, probably see’s people growing faster. People always compare theirselves to people who are better than them, rather than appreciating how amazing they are now. If you forget how good you are and reach where you wanted to be before, instead of celebrating it, you will be upset you are not even better. Don’t beat yourself up about where you are in the race, because there is always someone behind you who you forget to look for.❤
Always do it. Always pursue your passion even if you're gonna be half dead, the people telling you you have to prioritize your health are people that dont know what its its like to actually pursue something. Focus your energy not on others but perfecting your craft. I don't care if people hate me for this but i hope this message gets through you because when you reach a certain level in your craft, it will feel thrilling as if you can do almost anything and you have the actual skills to bring these to life.
I genuinely used to do this to my stick figures when I was like 12 Never animated them, but now I want to do so since I actually know how to animate now
[Small vent] I've been feeling the same way lately. I have ideas for making minute-minute and half long videos and I planned out some of it, would like to do mixed media between super 8 film and filming with my phone as well as doing small animations in blender by tracing over my own footage and combine that with edited portions of songs or mixing my own with samples and playing, and in the middle of sttarting it I just feel like theres no point to it all. It offers nothing. It means nothing. People are going to look at it and say that it was a waste of time. And I'm excellent at wasting time I'm fine with that but it does feel like it means something to me, I just don't know how to get others to see it. Maybe I'll just do it anyway and find out. Maybe people will have different feelings on it than I do, and thats okay, and maybe I'll keep doing it anyway. It would help if I was better at making music than I am at organizing it because I'm really struggling to create the sound and I don't want to only rip out of other people's music to generate the feeling. And it would help if I hadd actual digital equipment for illustration because sitting on my bed and using my trackpad really hurts my hand lol can only get through like 3 or 4 frames at a time, and I'm only tracing over like 25% of the screen at most. But I think it'll be worth it. If not for anyone else at least for myself
So from those notes you put up I also felt like that so here’s what I did instead of looking at others and feeling you couldn’t do better because theirs was so much better, instead look at it and then feel like you can do that with enough practice. For me it was like: why can’t I get better, everyone’s was so much better, I suck at this, but then I tried looking at it a different way thinking like I told you I have improved so much from using that perspective and copying (no tracing) in 9 days I have improved SO much ok hope that helps bye
