I've been learning programming over a month, but web development is not my passion and everyone talks about it. This is what I want to do, I'll follow this path. Thanks for your video and tips!
You have to a be a good Software developer first than dive into niche things like AI in order to work in this field. Kind of job/work which Boris does is work of an AI researcher and requires insane amount of dedication and passion. Also the amount of opportunities are extremely less here so its better to first learn fullstack dev, some devops and than compliment it with AI and build end to end web/mobile apps which has some AI component in it. This will be a lot better and will open a lot of opportunities.
I’m on my ml research internship, I’m a sophomore student, my first ongoing task was to reconstruct a deep learning architecture to make it work, I surprisingly improved the paper results on my setting. Did I do well? Was surprised when I saw the first point, decided to write this😂😅
Hi boris! I have been in nonprofits for a long time and I want to start learning ML. I know I am coming with no experience whatsoever but your videos are keeping me motivated. I hope I can do it! Thanks!
Also, I am doing a degree in CS and have taken a basic ML course where i have learned about decision trees, random forest, naive bayes algorithm and clustering techniques. In this summer, i will do an internship where i will work on creating an object recognition model to identify certain objects. I have also worked on a Computer Vision (CV) model in my internship last sunmer so i have experience making Convolution Neural Networks and using them to apply CV in fire images. What skills should i learn to improve my understanding?
I am undergraduate student keenly interested in learning more about ML. You mentioned that you read ML papers and implement the ideas present in them? Can you elaborate this with an example? Like what research paper did you read and what exactly did you do for its implementation? Thank you for the video btw 😊
I'm on an internship rn and my first task is to recreate a paper and update it cause it was made in 2017 with an older library, after that I'd need to use the algorithms presented onto real life dataset solving real problems
@2:54 I have been posting working demos of my projects that people can quickly tinker with but maybe also blow g post is good idea. Im sure you can automate that process as well
Demos is also a great idea! (How did au not think of adding that haha) Those can surely also be a great supplement to blog posts. With blog posts you can just share more details of the process, experimentation, ideas, different prototypes, what worked and what didn’t, and so on ☺️
Hi Boris!
Great work, Boris, very impressive. I am trying to solve a problem that I encountered in cell therapy drug development. I am looking for like minded talents to launch an open source project. Can you help expediting this?
Boris. many thanks for these 2 videos I'm an Energency Math teacher from LA Unified Unified School District teaching A-Level Computer Science prep course in Moscow to Russian and Expat 12th & 13th Grade/Form students. I was the Econ Data Scientist at The Conference Board in NYC from 1991-93. I started to follow AI Nov 30, 2022, when my Linear Algebra training alerted me that someone developed a way to permit computers to "understand" word symbols as well as they "process" number symbols. I'm returning to either Phila or LA after school ends this June to pursue ML leaning, teaching, and its usage. VPN blocking here slows down access to most LLMs. I have more than enough math background, as you can see, and am having fun reading the first UK published ML 515pg textbook. Your tips will help streamline my approach to learning and using ML ASAP. I will watch Andrew Ng's video ASAP Again, Many Thanks. George Dole

Hi Boris!

Hey, The thing is if I already post about some of my projects on platforms like LinkedIn, would it still be necessary to make papers about them? and if so, where can I put them to be accessible for recruiters or scouts?
Publishing a paper about your work is difficult. Writing a blog post about it usually gives you more room for explaining you project, showing results, and more visualizations. I thin reading a blog post, where everything is in one place is also more comfortable than looking at a LinkedIn post or thread. You can write such blog posts on your personal website (I link to my video on how to build one in the info card) or perhaps even just on something like Medium. Easiest way is to google for current research in a particular ML domain, browse the publications at conferences, or just browse Arxiv :)
Google scholar and/or pubmed would be two avenues to find more academic oriented papers... But still useful I think
