The difference between higher ranks is even bigger than in between lower ranks. So even though Jinwoo kinda speedrun his way into the Low B rank level, it wont be as easy for him to reach higher than that. And no even with the new skill he is very far from defeating S rank opponents

As a novel reader, I will have to say something. Just as Luke said, the anime adaptation is perfectly suited for newcomers and "veterans" to this series. The team behind it shows how one adaptation can be done. Of course some gor-y stuff will be filtered out but even then they just showed at least 2 decapitations in this episode. As for giving screen-time earlier to those other characters, it is a really nice touch. The viewers get to familiarize themselves with those characters and they don't just drop out of thin air in like 4 episodes from now. And that is especially important to plot relevant characters like the friggin Chairman(old dude) of the Hunter Association. I rest my case.
Although I also like when the anime rework some things to make it better, especially when introducing secondary/tertiary characters, there should be a time and place for that. The 1st and 3rd intermission were really badly timed, as literally in the middle of a fight. It broke the pacing and made me rage in front of my TV (and that kind of reaction can also has a bad impact on those characters being introduced). Moreover, most (but not all) of the content of these intermissions were redundant and useless. I wish there were place in-between fights, just like the second intermission.

Remember - Jinwoo thinks of himself as still E-Rank. His perception is still a little skewed, even though he is growing stronger, he didn't experience true fights beyond the double dungeon situations. Hence why he was dubbed 'The weakest hunter'. Something to note, the 'jumps' away from the Main Character - Pay attention to them - In the Manwha (Korean Manga), these side-stories don't happen. These are actually something you want to pay attention to as they are developments for the characters you get introduced later on. Such as those 3 girls. You haven't met them yet, but they will come up soon, just like how the first part of Solo Leveling showed the Ants and hunters fighting. Like that older guy being asked about, he is the head of the Korean Hunters Association, the group that 'administrates' the hunters. So keep note of the takeaways, they sort of set up the characters you will see later.

@@Ayush-kc2vx same producer, animation director, cgi director, and action director as SAO alicization; but this is just the beginning; like all the actions until now were animated by like the same 4 people, kanno and torii having like 6+ cuts already in 6 eps (kanno being the action director for SL that did fights like bercouli vs vector and asuna vs poh and many more in SAO); also keep in mind that the trailers for SL didn t show any content further than ep 7, so my guess is that from ep 8 they ll bring the big freelancers, since they have kanno and torii and a few more animators do so many cuts so early
BTW That is not how the class system works here.( Essentialy Jin woo in the eyes of the public is still a E Class hunter). The way the Class system works is they test the strenght of the hunter when the become one.(It usualy doesnt change).
Because there are exaptions and cases of people Reawakening witch is rare in itself but you cant say it never changes if there are cases of people where it happend before Jinwoo.@@alexanderthered5603

The s1 will end with quest job change and getting his job the fight with red knight in the starting it's spoilers for it so it's probably end on 12/13 episodes it can go for 4/5 season easy with just the main story no fullers

I loved the manwha but that anime is just the best thing it could have happened to solo leveling, it’s just so good. You’re absolutely right about the “cutaways” and “pacing” part. I hate how animes make cutaways like 5-10 minutes long like we can’t fill in the blanks ourselves. So this anime is trusting the audience to figure it out on their own and enjoy the action in the process.

Just wanted to clarify. He received the dash skill when he first started doing his daily quest and getting rewards for it in episode 2. The time stamp on episode 2 is 13:39. You'll see the skill screen on the left which says active skill. It's supposed to say dash, but the anime cuts it off for some reason. It's clearly shown in the Manhwa though. I had to double check it myself as well cause that part seemed like it came out of nowhere.😅 But yeah in actuality, it was explained.
the adaptation to Solo Leveling makes me so happy, i was comparing frames from this episodes to panels in the manhua and goddamn some of them are like a 1-1, as if the animators just redrew the exact panel and put it in motion, even some of the dialogue is pretty much the same. A-1 is really knocking this out of the park and I can't wait to see more seasons of this show. ALSO if you think this fight was good, just you wait until some fights down the road when he's leveled up more! This is the power fantasy we needed
what do you mean, i saw the manhwa too and there are many big differences, especially in what sung says to these guys, the way the world went grey and how he was ,,numb" whereas in the manhwa he just embraced using the system, when they came back smashing through their boulders in the manhwa but here they added some tunnels on the walls etc.

I know you would've already figured this out, but for those who are watching the reaction and along with the anime. When you asked where the full recovery came from during his fight with the spider. It is from his daily request awards. Whenever he completes his "one punch man" training everyday full recovery is always part of that reward and he gets to choose when to accept it. So Jinwoo pretty much realised he still had not used up his full recovery during his battle. This indicates two things, one he has gain enough strength and stamina to no longer rely on the full recovery, meaning he would be able to use this to his advantage more often
Im an avid Light Novel reader of Solo Leveling, and I will first handedly tell you, this is everything from the books and MORE. A1 went above and beyond for this. Quite literally, the OST + animation + Voice acting make this extraordinary. Sawano, A1, Taito Ban (Jinwoo VA), Along with Genta Nakamura (Jinho) make this so memorable. I Felt like I did when i read this for the first time. I was on the edge of my seat, excited AF and Might iI add, Sawano NEVER Misses with his music. Never, not once.
The song is called DARK ARIA ＜LV2> Sawano Hiroyuki (yes the same composer for Attack on Titan) Murderous Intent is usually a manwha, manhua, manga and anime troupe where a more powerful opponent's intent to kill is felt through their stare, or stance or power. This is what this skill is based on.
The song added the Ambience that the anime was holding back in the Manhwa. More anime needs to have this. For those like me who read the Manhwa, we know its a great anime. Now we know its always possible to get better.

Holy shit, what a hype episode this was! Animation, SOUNDTRACK, the fight itself. Badass!
a few small things: -The dash skill he used is one he got from running from the centipedes, not one that conveniently appeared then but is still 'new' to him -The paralysis is a weapon bonus, not one of his skills, so he can't level it up and will lose it if he switches to another weapon. -Well we haven't been introduced to the girls in the café scene, we have seen one of them (the white tiger girl) who was in the group who retrieved jinwoo from the double dungeon incident. You are correct on the flip girls identity though! -The scene with the café girls (and almost all of the small cut aways) are total anime originals (from what I can tell from reading the manwha). I really like them tho as they help introduce and build important characters and world elements before their arcs that help the world and story feel more realized. Their not just adapting but plusing this story in ways I think it needed and I'm so hyped for that! -I also wasn't sold on the pacing early on, but I think its been getting better as it goes (esp this ep!) and tbh, I think the sacrifices to the pacing to put down the ground work they have been to plusing certain character and story points is very worth it!
17:11 One thing that wasn't shown in the anime is that the mage put his full force into his fire attack, and was thinking how the hell jin woo survived that. He didn't voice out his thoughts as he didn't want his teammates to think that he's weak

Jinwoo didn't "murder" anyone. He engaged in justified self defense against human trash who didn't deserve to live. Never mind the fact that they tried to kill him multiple times, they had already killed who knows how many people before this point. They absolutely deserved no sympathy or mercy whatsoever and he shouldn't feel bad about killing them.
I love that sub typo "The E rank must have been hiding to SAY safe", I just imagine Jinwoo hiding in the background shouting to Jinho "SAFE! You're safe! Don't worry, Jinho, you're safe! SAFE!!!". E-rank's there for moral support, of course.
The 3 woman you saw at the cafe are new characters. They will show up later and the names they dropped during their conversation will be significant later. Basically it is a teaser and forshadowing on what is to come. XD
It's 24 episodes season. Second part will air in few months. Although A1 pictures hasn't released official notice about this, Netmarkable which is one of the producers of anime said that they will release solo leveling game they've been working on after the end of "cour 1". So buckle up because first 12 episodes are just fraction of hype of what's about to come next.

Not convenient, remember before he went into the Dungeon he had some points to allocate still he was saving them up. So he didn't apply them until the battle, same with the Rewards he put off collecting. Last Episode it showed him looking at his stuff before going in.
By the way, the old guy. He is an S-Class Hunter. Jinchul is an A-Rank Hunter, if that wasn't clear initially. Also the Korean Hunter Association was made to try and keep the Hunters in Korea in line. Remember Hunters, when they awaken, they have powers. So the Hunter Associationis like the 'Watchers'.
Just to make sure you don't get the idea Jinwoo is able to fight S-rank individuals right off the bat, the system's skills or basically any other debuff skill present in the show may not work if the enemy is too strong. His senses stat does make sure to tell him if he's facing a weak or strong foe, but it isn't accurate in regarding his enemies true strength. The current Jinwoo is able to take down a B-rank at most with some difficulty. The dash skill he uses in the spider fight is something he got because of his high speed stat, some other skills will be unlocked if he does certain actions like the murderous intent (a skill rewarded by the forced urgency quest).
I remember the day when I read solo levelling I became so hooked and struggled to find another manwha that gave me the excat same feeling. When I heard the anime adaption annoucement two years later, boy did I lose it. Solo levelling is what got me to start reading korean manga's honestly.
The skill is still called bloodlust for me (my opinion also thats what its called in the manhwa also) thats a better name for it also the "Drain" effect should have been bleed instead and the killings where more brutal in the manhwa I feel like wich I would have liked here, still a good episode though.
The skills names are the orignial names from the Web Novel in which its adapting also its a mix of Info from WN and General look and reference from the Manwha.
Bloodlust sounds better than murderous intent, but I gotta be honest... Though I agree bleed is a better rpg-type word for it, drain is way more savage of a term for it.

yeah, and those ladies are normally people you would not see until the second and third seasons. But they need these quick fillers to get the episode sized correctly. Fortunately the quick fillers actually helps describe the world setting. So it is not wasted time.
What I really like about you is that you actually are able to shut up for more than 2 seconds. In the most epic scenes when the best OSTs are playing, most youtubers are just screaming around like hell which, in my opinion, ruins those moments for the viewers and especially for themselves. I like watching people react to certain anime scenes which I really like but when they constantly interrupt it or jump around or something I feel like they don't get 100% of the joy out of the scene and that somehow pisses me of. But in the slaughter scene with this beautiful OST you didn't say a single word and kept staring at the screen and I really liked that.
About the Dash/Sprint Skill, he gained that when his Agility broke through 30. It wasn't shown in the last episode when he added more Status Points before he went inside the dungeon. As for the Paralysis and Drain debuffs, they are the Dagger's Properties and can't be modified that's why the levels are blank. Also notice that none of the monsters he kills outside of the Instance Dungeons drop anything automatically. He has to dig out their Mana Cores instead of getting a System Prompt indicating what loot dropped.

I read the manhwa back when it around about started releasing. But I had the same reaction of just my jaw being on the fucking floor during the fight scene paired along with that ost.
You were asking about how the ranking system works, and the best description I can give is that there is an exponential increase between the levels. If you defined E-rank as 10 to 99 (the average being 70, according to Kang Kaeshik), then D-rank would be 100 to 999, C-rank would be 1,000 to 9,999, B-rank would be 10,000 to 99,999, A-rank would be 100,000 to 999,999, and S-rank would be 1,000,000+! I think another determining factor is the number of skills that they have. Dongsuk had 2 skills (Taunt and Reinforcement), putting him at the top of C-rank, but he lacked the power level to be placed in B-rank (he couldn't Taunt and Reinforce at the same time). Unfortunately for him, Jinwoo had already passed onto B-rank in power level by killing the spider and other lizards, and the system rewarded him for it by giving him a third skill (Willpower [passive skill seen on the skill window in episode 3 and perhaps demonstrated in episode 4], Dash, and now Murderous Intent). Sorry, stupid aside. I was looking at the numbers I'd assigned and thought of 'Dragon Ball Z', "It's over 9,000!" but that would just make Dongsuk a C-ranker.

Skills can be leveled up so “murderous intent” can be leveled. Titles and item abilities like the paralysis on the ragers or the title he got episode 4 do not level, but can still be stacked or replaced depending on what it is.
for the murderous intent skill the -50% to their abilities only activates if they panic when hes unleashing his murderous intent. If their not scared then they wont get the debuff
He was D class or C class before killing the spider. When he killed the snake boss, it gave him a C rank dagger. Maybe he was low C rank then. After killing spider boss he only leveled up 3 or 4 times. So he should still be C rank. Then after killing the bastard group he didn't level up. only got rewards because it was a quest. But he did get stronger because of the rewards. SO he should still be a C rank. Mid or high C rank after this episode.
The boy who lost the bet, I think it refers to the fact he awakened as the lowest hunter ever. Now he's racking up the kills. The old guy is Chairman Go, he is the leader of the Hunter's Association. The driver is his second and the one who tested Jin Woo to see if he reawakened. False rankers hide their rank because they like to kill, not like Jin Woo but, because they like to kill other hunters. In other words, they are serial killers. Other hunters are terrified of them because they leave no witness behind. Jin Woo is a B rank because the raid team leader is C and he admitted he couldn't have beat the boss alone either. The girls talking at the Cafe were random hunter's who were training with hunter Cha, remember her guild master ask her to instruct the new hunters by example. That was what that scene was about, giving more information about one of the other characters but, I love how they always lead it back to the MC, and what is happening with him. The raid boss begs him to spare him but Jin Woo literally can't or his heart will stop. So, no, not happening. This is one of best episodes so far.
If you look last episode, he finished his daily training by running his 10K to get to meet them and he just dismissed his rewards because they were walking up to him. Now, he used the 1st (full recovery) Edit -- You saw it after. Yep... :)
He didn't claim his daily reward Full Recovery so he used it on this boss. Just like what we did in Online games where for various reason we don't claim rewards or loot boxes in our Inbox or Inventory.
I think the girls in the cafe are just low level side characters meant to give more side story exposition about major characters and the guilds we will be seeing much more of later. As far as pacing, the manhua as pretty much the same. End one chapter seeing him stand in front of the spider, the next chapter starts where the last left off. It is what kept me up till 2am reading the darn thing!!! All the darn cliff hangers

@@Ayush-kc2vx same producer, animation director, cgi director, and action director as SAO alicization; but this is just the beginning; like all the actions until now were animated by like the same 4 people, kanno and torii having like 6+ cuts already in 6 eps (kanno being the action director for SL that did fights like bercouli vs vector and asuna vs poh and many more in SAO); also keep in mind that the trailers for SL didn t show any content further than ep 7, so my guess is that from ep 8 they ll bring the big freelancers, since they have kanno and torii and a few more animators do so many cuts so early

BTW That is not how the class system works here.( Essentialy Jin woo in the eyes of the public is still a E Class hunter). The way the Class system works is they test the strenght of the hunter when the become one.(It usualy doesnt change).

I loved the manwha but that anime is just the best thing it could have happened to solo leveling, it’s just so good. You’re absolutely right about the “cutaways” and “pacing” part. I hate how animes make cutaways like 5-10 minutes long like we can’t fill in the blanks ourselves. So this anime is trusting the audience to figure it out on their own and enjoy the action in the process.

Just wanted to clarify. He received the dash skill when he first started doing his daily quest and getting rewards for it in episode 2. The time stamp on episode 2 is 13:39. You'll see the skill screen on the left which says active skill. It's supposed to say dash, but the anime cuts it off for some reason. It's clearly shown in the Manhwa though. I had to double check it myself as well cause that part seemed like it came out of nowhere.😅 But yeah in actuality, it was explained.

the adaptation to Solo Leveling makes me so happy, i was comparing frames from this episodes to panels in the manhua and goddamn some of them are like a 1-1, as if the animators just redrew the exact panel and put it in motion, even some of the dialogue is pretty much the same. A-1 is really knocking this out of the park and I can't wait to see more seasons of this show.
ALSO if you think this fight was good, just you wait until some fights down the road when he's leveled up more! This is the power fantasy we needed
what do you mean, i saw the manhwa too and there are many big differences, especially in what sung says to these guys, the way the world went grey and how he was ,,numb" whereas in the manhwa he just embraced using the system, when they came back smashing through their boulders in the manhwa but here they added some tunnels on the walls etc.

I know you would've already figured this out, but for those who are watching the reaction and along with the anime. When you asked where the full recovery came from during his fight with the spider. It is from his daily request awards. Whenever he completes his "one punch man" training everyday full recovery is always part of that reward and he gets to choose when to accept it. So Jinwoo pretty much realised he still had not used up his full recovery during his battle. This indicates two things, one he has gain enough strength and stamina to no longer rely on the full recovery, meaning he would be able to use this to his advantage more often
Im an avid Light Novel reader of Solo Leveling, and I will first handedly tell you, this is everything from the books and MORE. A1 went above and beyond for this. Quite literally, the OST + animation + Voice acting make this extraordinary. Sawano, A1, Taito Ban (Jinwoo VA), Along with Genta Nakamura (Jinho) make this so memorable. I Felt like I did when i read this for the first time. I was on the edge of my seat, excited AF
and Might iI add, Sawano NEVER Misses with his music. Never, not once.

Murderous Intent is usually a manwha, manhua, manga and anime troupe where a more powerful opponent's intent to kill is felt through their stare, or stance or power. This is what this skill is based on.
The song added the Ambience that the anime was holding back in the Manhwa. More anime needs to have this. For those like me who read the Manhwa, we know its a great anime. Now we know its always possible to get better.

I agree about the fact that the pacing of this anime so far has Been well optimized
a few small things:
-The dash skill he used is one he got from running from the centipedes, not one that conveniently appeared then but is still 'new' to him
-The paralysis is a weapon bonus, not one of his skills, so he can't level it up and will lose it if he switches to another weapon.
-Well we haven't been introduced to the girls in the café scene, we have seen one of them (the white tiger girl) who was in the group who retrieved jinwoo from the double dungeon incident. You are correct on the flip girls identity though!
-The scene with the café girls (and almost all of the small cut aways) are total anime originals (from what I can tell from reading the manwha). I really like them tho as they help introduce and build important characters and world elements before their arcs that help the world and story feel more realized. Their not just adapting but plusing this story in ways I think it needed and I'm so hyped for that!
-I also wasn't sold on the pacing early on, but I think its been getting better as it goes (esp this ep!) and tbh, I think the sacrifices to the pacing to put down the ground work they have been to plusing certain character and story points is very worth it!
17:11 One thing that wasn't shown in the anime is that the mage put his full force into his fire attack, and was thinking how the hell jin woo survived that. He didn't voice out his thoughts as he didn't want his teammates to think that he's weak

Jinwoo didn't "murder" anyone. He engaged in justified self defense against human trash who didn't deserve to live.
Never mind the fact that they tried to kill him multiple times, they had already killed who knows how many people before this point.
They absolutely deserved no sympathy or mercy whatsoever and he shouldn't feel bad about killing them.
Something that is not said in the anime, is that the caster used his maximum power to kill Sung Jin woo with the first attack
this episode was 10/10 🔥, the ost and animation are leveling up with jinwoo. A-1 is cooking so good with solo leveling.
I love that sub typo "The E rank must have been hiding to SAY safe", I just imagine Jinwoo hiding in the background shouting to Jinho "SAFE! You're safe! Don't worry, Jinho, you're safe! SAFE!!!". E-rank's there for moral support, of course.
The 3 woman you saw at the cafe are new characters. They will show up later and the names they dropped during their conversation will be significant later. Basically it is a teaser and forshadowing on what is to come. XD
It's 24 episodes season. Second part will air in few months. Although A1 pictures hasn't released official notice about this, Netmarkable which is one of the producers of anime said that they will release solo leveling game they've been working on after the end of "cour 1". So buckle up because first 12 episodes are just fraction of hype of what's about to come next.

Not convenient, remember before he went into the Dungeon he had some points to allocate still he was saving them up. So he didn't apply them until the battle, same with the Rewards he put off collecting. Last Episode it showed him looking at his stuff before going in.
By the way, the old guy. He is an S-Class Hunter. Jinchul is an A-Rank Hunter, if that wasn't clear initially. Also the Korean Hunter Association was made to try and keep the Hunters in Korea in line.
Remember Hunters, when they awaken, they have powers. So the Hunter Associationis like the 'Watchers'.
Don't spoiler, you can be better than this
Just to make sure you don't get the idea Jinwoo is able to fight S-rank individuals right off the bat, the system's skills or basically any other debuff skill present in the show may not work if the enemy is too strong. His senses stat does make sure to tell him if he's facing a weak or strong foe, but it isn't accurate in regarding his enemies true strength. The current Jinwoo is able to take down a B-rank at most with some difficulty. The dash skill he uses in the spider fight is something he got because of his high speed stat, some other skills will be unlocked if he does certain actions like the murderous intent (a skill rewarded by the forced urgency quest).

I remember the day when I read solo levelling I became so hooked and struggled to find another manwha that gave me the excat same feeling. When I heard the anime adaption annoucement two years later, boy did I lose it. Solo levelling is what got me to start reading korean manga's honestly.
The skill is still called bloodlust for me (my opinion also thats what its called in the manhwa also) thats a better name for it also the "Drain" effect should have been bleed instead and the killings where more brutal in the manhwa I feel like wich I would have liked here, still a good episode though.

The skills names are the orignial names from the Web Novel in which its adapting also its a mix of Info from WN and General look and reference from the Manwha.
Bloodlust sounds better than murderous intent, but I gotta be honest... Though I agree bleed is a better rpg-type word for it, drain is way more savage of a term for it.

yeah, and those ladies are normally people you would not see until the second and third seasons. But they need these quick fillers to get the episode sized correctly. Fortunately the quick fillers actually helps describe the world setting. So it is not wasted time.

I`m glad they follow the style of manhwa, it really IS epic the whole journey. The artist made this story really amazing.
What I really like about you is that you actually are able to shut up for more than 2 seconds. In the most epic scenes when the best OSTs are playing, most youtubers are just screaming around like hell which, in my opinion, ruins those moments for the viewers and especially for themselves.
I like watching people react to certain anime scenes which I really like but when they constantly interrupt it or jump around or something I feel like they don't get 100% of the joy out of the scene and that somehow pisses me of.
But in the slaughter scene with this beautiful OST you didn't say a single word and kept staring at the screen and I really liked that.

About the Dash/Sprint Skill, he gained that when his Agility broke through 30. It wasn't shown in the last episode when he added more Status Points before he went inside the dungeon.
As for the Paralysis and Drain debuffs, they are the Dagger's Properties and can't be modified that's why the levels are blank.
Also notice that none of the monsters he kills outside of the Instance Dungeons drop anything automatically. He has to dig out their Mana Cores instead of getting a System Prompt indicating what loot dropped.

I read the manhwa back when it around about started releasing. But I had the same reaction of just my jaw being on the fucking floor during the fight scene paired along with that ost.
You were asking about how the ranking system works, and the best description I can give is that there is an exponential increase between the levels. If you defined E-rank as 10 to 99 (the average being 70, according to Kang Kaeshik), then D-rank would be 100 to 999, C-rank would be 1,000 to 9,999, B-rank would be 10,000 to 99,999, A-rank would be 100,000 to 999,999, and S-rank would be 1,000,000+!
I think another determining factor is the number of skills that they have. Dongsuk had 2 skills (Taunt and Reinforcement), putting him at the top of C-rank, but he lacked the power level to be placed in B-rank (he couldn't Taunt and Reinforce at the same time). Unfortunately for him, Jinwoo had already passed onto B-rank in power level by killing the spider and other lizards, and the system rewarded him for it by giving him a third skill (Willpower [passive skill seen on the skill window in episode 3 and perhaps demonstrated in episode 4], Dash, and now Murderous Intent).
Sorry, stupid aside. I was looking at the numbers I'd assigned and thought of 'Dragon Ball Z', "It's over 9,000!" but that would just make Dongsuk a C-ranker.

Skills can be leveled up so “murderous intent” can be leveled. Titles and item abilities like the paralysis on the ragers or the title he got episode 4 do not level, but can still be stacked or replaced depending on what it is.
for the murderous intent skill the -50% to their abilities only activates if they panic when hes unleashing his murderous intent. If their not scared then they wont get the debuff

He was D class or C class before killing the spider. When he killed the snake boss, it gave him a C rank dagger. Maybe he was low C rank then. After killing spider boss he only leveled up 3 or 4 times. So he should still be C rank. Then after killing the bastard group he didn't level up. only got rewards because it was a quest. But he did get stronger because of the rewards. SO he should still be a C rank. Mid or high C rank after this episode.

The boy who lost the bet, I think it refers to the fact he awakened as the lowest hunter ever. Now he's racking up the kills. The old guy is Chairman Go, he is the leader of the Hunter's Association. The driver is his second and the one who tested Jin Woo to see if he reawakened. False rankers hide their rank because they like to kill, not like Jin Woo but, because they like to kill other hunters. In other words, they are serial killers. Other hunters are terrified of them because they leave no witness behind. Jin Woo is a B rank because the raid team leader is C and he admitted he couldn't have beat the boss alone either. The girls talking at the Cafe were random hunter's who were training with hunter Cha, remember her guild master ask her to instruct the new hunters by example. That was what that scene was about, giving more information about one of the other characters but, I love how they always lead it back to the MC, and what is happening with him. The raid boss begs him to spare him but Jin Woo literally can't or his heart will stop. So, no, not happening. This is one of best episodes so far.

If you look last episode, he finished his daily training by running his 10K to get to meet them and he just dismissed his rewards because they were walking up to him. Now, he used the 1st (full recovery) Edit -- You saw it after. Yep... :)

He didn't claim his daily reward Full Recovery so he used it on this boss. Just like what we did in Online games where for various reason we don't claim rewards or loot boxes in our Inbox or Inventory.
I think the girls in the cafe are just low level side characters meant to give more side story exposition about major characters and the guilds we will be seeing much more of later. As far as pacing, the manhua as pretty much the same. End one chapter seeing him stand in front of the spider, the next chapter starts where the last left off. It is what kept me up till 2am reading the darn thing!!! All the darn cliff hangers
