Great video, I've done it from the bottom on a Honda Element and remember it being a PITA. I just recently did the starter on my 2007 CR-V and went through the top AND bottom taking off the intake manifold. I replaced the manifold gasket and throttle body gasket with Fel-Pro gaskets while I was in there. I also cleaned all the carbon buildup in the throttle body and that seemed to actually help the car idle/drive a bit smoother as well. Start to finish going through the top and bottom took about 2.5-3 hours. Anyone saying you can do it from the top without removing the bottom tray is wrong as you have to undo the manifold bracket in order to move the manifold off to the side enough to get the starter out. I didn't have to take the knock sensor out at all when going from the top but did have to use a short 14mm socket vs a deep.

Of all the videos explaining starter change yours is the best, the demonstration on the seat and how to reach the 14mm is wow❤, i managed to remove the 17mm the other day from my 07 crv, am yet to remove the 14mm since it is cold -9 outside here in Nova, thanks for the video, m going to finish replacing mine and crank it up again❤

Seems you have more space than in the 2nd Gen CRV. Fingers crossed I can do this for the knock sensor. Thanks

LOL! This comment makes me so happy actually. I was worried my Subaru crowd would be upset if I post something different on a Saturday!
I have sooooo much content and videos to post I just have to continue working on my editing process and learning when to drop the videos!
      Thanks for always watching Carlos!

Great video and tips! Do you happen to have the torque spec of the 14 and 17 bolts?

You know what I don’t actually have the torque specs but I just ran the in and snugged them down and it’s been fine for atleast 5 months now
Just don’t over tighten and you will be fine!
