I’m way more of a boy group Stan but Mamamoo and (G)I-dle are my favorite girl groups. Mamamoo is an older group so they don’t get much attention anymore but they are so talented and their solo work is really good. I recommend them if you like classic poppy songs and R&B. And if you are kinda weird about the whole not in English thing def listen to the English version of Watercolor by Wheein (one of the Mamamoo members).

my k-pop journey started with blackpink/skz-(stray kids) in end of oct-beginning of nov! i vividly remember exactly what happened but i kind of have a memory! i kept hearing shut down EVERYWHERE on my youtube shorts. i began to fall in love with the song, and even learned the choreography! that dance and song was stuck in my head for three months🫡- i even learned pink venom choreography! since i showed so much love for that particular song/choreography(shutdown) i began to get more k-pop stuff on my feed. eventually, a skz ad popped up and i was like “GAWD DAYUMMMMM WHO ARE THESE FINE MEN?!?!” i got the ad of minho, and jeongin as well as the one with felix and changbin- and i forget the other members- ANYWAYS- i literally watched those ads til they finished every time they came up. i eventually looked into stray kids, mostly because they kept popping up everywhere. but from the very beginning of me noticing them, felix/yongbok CONTINUOUSLY caught my eye.. i was like: “dayum you fine.. think i can get your number? WHO IS YOUU” he was pretty easy to learn because of his name. on the way of getting to know the members i thought jeongin and hyunjin/changbin and han were the same person- confusing times… eventually i fell in love with jeongin and biased both him, and felix! my bias wreckers were the rest of the group! now i’m here in 2023, adoring their sound each day. if you listen to their june comeback 5star, and a couple more of their famous songs, that’s my exact music type/taste, and is exactly what i look for in songs. i also got biased wrecked by lino very recently so now he’s my third bias. the group ended up being my alt, as well as new jeans! i go to new jeans when i’m looking for fresh, calming music. WHY IS GET UP ONLY 36 SECONDS LONG? *ahem* doesn’t deserve to be that short. AHHHH *AHEM* but that is my kpop journey. wishing that my first year, didn’t turn out as bad though.. rest in peace moonbin. you will be loved, and cared for. #moonbin #protectskz yes i put hashtags.. “you mad brah?”
