My head is about to break over all this! I'm not afraid, but so much so fast is making my head spin. Like I'm on the tilt-a-whirl and am about to lose my lunch! Not to be graphic, but geez! We have more storms coming our way. Fortunately they won't be more hurricanes. Two in as many months is enough! And we still have flooding. There's nowhere for the water to go. Have you ever been to Florida? We're flat and swampy. And we didn't experience the worst of the storm. Praying for the southeast. You did a great job with this. I appreciate that you spoke on the devastation. I am SO looking forward to General Conference! And I do know that all is in a very loving Heavenly Father's hands.
I was in FL last summer and yes everything is flat so I can imagine. I’m so sorry. The news on it is terrible. Glad you are ok and can’t wait for conference!

I am hope the church is able to get humanitarian service to the people who have been victims of the helene hurricane. Does anyone know if the church has been able to help the people of Florida, Georgia and North Carolina?
Our stake (in Michigan) collected basic goods this week (water etc) to send down. When the infrastructure is washed out, though, it’s the absolute worst time for an influx of well-meaning volunteers. There are citizens using pack mules to get goods up into the mountains to provide relief, which is amazing and one of the few ways that we can get anything done. Helicopters can’t necessarily land, drones have to deal with restrictions on airspace, and so many other inconveniences. Hopefully more supplies are being delivered to those who need them 🙏

2 thoughts came to me as you were talking about Lebanon meaning “the moon”…NASA has been talking about a meteor that’s coming or here that will appear as a second moon in the sky AND I thought about how the moon is given in scripture as a symbol of terrestrial. I think we need to remember that our God in heaven gives his children every chance to repent. Those of us who know him, who love his restored church, and have a testimony, need to remember to keep those who have been harmed by evil hands in our prayers. We also need to pray for our beloved president Trump. We have no reason to doubt but that those who died in North Carolina who loved the Lord, are clasped to his bosom...and those who are wicked also stand before him in shame and fear. For God knows our hearts, and all who love and follow Him. Go to the Temple as often as you can...
I would like to make a suggestion? My wife just pointed out that you speak to fast. It's a little hard for us to keep up at times and can't process in our Old brains. Please don't take this as a criticism because I know the problem is with us.

Stakes and wards didn't have church last week and weeks to come to help people who are in need.
