There are two violin concertos by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy. Thé violin concerto (Op. 64) and the other one, in D minor with opus number. They are both on this release performed by Emmy Verhey and Gil Sharon.

I bought a stereo system in the 2000s and inside I found Mendelssohn's violin concertos!
What a surprise!
I risked breaking it for how many times I've listened to it!
I absolutely love this! I have been listening to the other versions by like Hilary Hahn and others and this is the best one yet!

Finally found the piece i have been searching

This is the old Laserlight release. I remember you could buy 3 or 4 CDs for $10 back in the early 90s. It was my introduction to classical CDs and I really loved some of the performances. Jeno Jando (who became the "house pianist" for Naxos) made a recording of some Liszt works for piano and orchestra that were really wonderful and released on Laserlight. This is a solid and enjoyable performance. I found more nuanced and ones I enjoyed a little more as I collected but I wouldn't argue with someone if they only preferred this one. There is a lot to enjoy here.
