Kept hearing this song in Soul Hackers 2 and couldn't figure out for the life of me where it was from. Kinda strange that they adopted this into a battle theme but it works and I'm all for it
The guttural yet grounded 3D renders, plaintalk-Whisper text-to-speech at the beginning reminiscent of Serial Experiments Lain, and the music that sounds like something straight out of a Sunrise anime... This is 90's as fuck. About as 90's as it gets really.
Shame on Sony! Their is alot of english in the opening, this was meant for North America... maybe some day they will release it over here hopefully in a bundle with the first Devil Summoner
No, it's not that Atlus didn't want to release an English version of Soul Hackers... it's just that Sony didn't approve of it's release. :< As to why, I don't know the reason... so you should be angry at Sony, not Atlus. D:
Several demons that appear in the SMT series are based off of Judeo-Christian mythology, such as Lucifer, Satan, and Yahweh. Hopefully, someone will fanslate this like they did Innocent Sin.

a DS remake would be cool.
this guy must have been pretty happy
Agreed. It was a 3DS though, but still
Only wait 6 years mate
I’m from the future and i’ve got news for ya
You got that and then some 👍
a rare sight to see when you own the 3DS version.
It's on the 3DS version too. After the title screen.
You're right, I remember the PSP port for Persona 3 having the original Persona 3 opening played after the title screen.
@@cj_iwakura Can you please translate the 3rd Digital Devil Story novel please
@@akeminakajima449 Uh, I'm not a translator...
@@akeminakajima449 he translates games not novels

It seems to be Shin Megami Tensei with an injection of Ghost in the Shell. I love it.
as always, Atlus never fails to amaze me
I remember playing this when I first got my Saturn and this game just came out.
I like this intro
+Noah Lynn
>he doesn't like "PREFER PREFER. PREFERABLY!"
I always thought the guy was saying "Rebel, Rebel. Rebel Team", which kind of makes sense because the Spookies are hackers.
lol Right. It's amazing how Sony could turn something like this down.
No wonder the US didn't like the Saturn, they weren't getting good shit like this. We just got crappy ass ports and other crap.
I don't know about other countries.
We do have Devilsummoner Soul Hackers for PSP in Japan.
No you don't that's Devil Summoner 1
song reminds me to of 808 state - pacific state
Oh, you're right BlueNoctuene!
I was trying to say there's Soul Hackers for PS.
just realized I made a mistake now...
Shame on Sony! Their is alot of english in the opening, this was meant for North America... maybe some day they will release it over here hopefully in a bundle with the first Devil Summoner
First this was developed for Sega Saturn then translated to PS(P) with some addition.
@superkeijikun sometime, ghost, and urban legend creature

SUMMON OK!!
You realize this is an opening movie right?
its an amv op......

thats becasue back in the day they where worried about the opening instead of the game lol
What system was this made for? Looks interesting.
Hey dude. If you still use this account, kudos. I change accounts every few years. Also, nice profile pic.
Since nobody's answered your question yet, Sega Saturn and Nintendo 3DS. You might already know by now, but there you go.
And PlayStation.
@@thepooroldsoul8179 Managed to get it on 3DS. Not a bad classic. And thanks everyone for answering.
Your welcome, but I wish the Saturn and PS1 version was released in the West.
Lol what? Pretty much every RPG has tons of English words spattered everywhere, from "Health" to "New Game" to "Game Over".
Wow. I do not like this opening at all. What;s with the "Prefer Prefer, Preferably" in the background?
