He performed in 5 stages and sang 14 songs on NYE performances. Check out his new song Floating Lights and Night at Ulaanbaatar with a famous Mongolian Band. He can do anything. His performances on the TV show Circle of Sound/Infinity and Beyond including a song Listen and Inflammable and Explosive which is an experimental piece. He is the biggest pop star in China right now.

Zhou Shen started early with singing, joined the school choir and won the first place repeatedly in choir competitions. But when he hit puberty his voice didn't significantly change. Since he still sounded like a girl in middle school he was ridiculed by his classmates and they were calling him names. Because of the discrimination he experienced, he became more and more silent. He didn't sing on stage for three years in junior high school. Fortunately he regained confidence and was able to make his uniqueness his strength. He studied Bel Canto at the Ukrainian Conservatory of Music and today he is one of the most popular singers in China. Zhou Shen plays the piano, guitar and clarinet. He can speak several foreign languages: English, Ukrainian, Russian, Italian, French and Polish and he sings in even more languages. I love his angelic voice. He can sing in a deeper register too, but he usually prefers to sing in his head voice/falsetto. "Zhou" is pronounced like "Joe" with the J sounding a bit sharper like the "Ch" in Charlie. BTW, Charlie is Zhou Shen's Western name.
For a great spooky performance I suggest "The Song of Heaven Island" (I can send you a link with English subs), his cover of "Ring the doorbell, listen to it myself" is a mysterious song. His cover of "Memory" from the musical Cats is also excellent. His signature song, that helped him in his career, is "Big Fish", but you can't go wrong with any of his performances. 🙂

For this performance, she chose Zhou Shen as duet partner, as he is one of the few males who can match her voice. She has a beautiful voice and there is another duet by her and Zhou Shen called Flower walking freely, which is also amazing.
I think old Hong Kong series theme songs should be introduced to new generations and westerners more too. Lots of classics with great voices. Francis Yip's "The Bund" theme song, and "The God of Sabre 1979" by another female singer. Great singing and timeless classics.
