All the while, competing with not only other bands doing the same, but now also a myriad of 'influencers' that can dedicate themselves to this full time. There's no way I can leave my day job to do this instead, and I don't have the time to start doing it outside of work alongside everything else. We're all fighting for people's attention, while individuals and companies are all doing the same too.
It's cool but, like everything else in the entertainment industry, only one out of every ten thousand (or more) 'influencers' is going to make it, so it's not exactly a great career path for most people.
