Do you dream of starting a homestead or a glamping business? You don't have to waste your time searching for the answers. I'll give them to you here! - willedmondjr.gumroad.com/l/ipxec
Without getting too much in your business, do you have advice for maneuvering through ownership after it's been passed down to multiple great, great grands? Some of which are unknown?
My great great great grandfather had over 1000 acres of land in South Carolina. He lost all of it due to Jim Crow laws and infringement by the government. I found out about this just 12 years ago. Fast forward my grandmother passed away and left her home (Beautiful brick 2 story home) to my mother and aunts. I talked to them about keeping it and they sold it and moved on. What you and your family are doing is something that just brings me pure joy. Generational wealth isn't always about money but passing along something tangible for your family to own for generations to come. Making your mark on history. Real tears were formed while watching this. As the old folks would say someone raised you right and instilled in you all the values of faith and family. Much love! 💪🏿
Experienced my parents selling their part of the families land to their brothers. One of the brothers always wanted to build a home there but he never did. Now he is gone and for years his wife hasn't allowed anyone to come onto this empty piece of property. And his kids want to sell it. Very sad.
You should do it now. This is the best time. A lot of younger people are leaving the city life to get back to the roots. You are blessed to have that much land. Go for it!
What part of Texas are you at? I'd love to link up with you I'm doing the same in Louisiana. I have 6 acres and it was my great grandfather's too he had the 40 acres originally, I started last year too
@mfax1000 my great grandfather legally subdivided to his 7 children, all of them roughly inherited 6 acres, for my other family members alot of their properties are considered heir properties. My 6, my grandmother bought out right from my aunt and I bought it directly from her
We ARE our ancestors. This is amazing, and I'm so proud of all the organization, attention to detail, and hard work you put into your homestead. I'm proud of you all, period. Shout out to your family and friends. Those domes are fantastic. Stay safe and thanks for sharing. 🩵🧡
"We people can make it work come together and make it work raise you mighty people there's work to be done so lets do it little by little, Raise." Bob Marley
I'm so proud of y'all!! How wonderful that you have knowledgeable neighbors and family to help you. Keep up the great work. You are making your ancestors proud!
Yoooo…. if it hasn’t been said, let’s talk about how inspiring you guys are for things that far surpass watching you put the action of faith (actual manual labor) behind a project you believed heavily in. And with joy! This is the first video I’m seeing of you guys, and I’ve already subscribed to see the journey as it unfolds.
So proud of you two. I understand the tears. It’s a great thing that you are doing. Most kids just sell what they inherited. Which stops the generational wealth. They are not even aware that they are stifling African history. Again, So proud of y’all.
Yes and to think these young people up north have no idea about their down south cousins who are losing their inheritance because of heirs property issues. They need to help their folks preserve the inheritance. Don't sell it develop it
New subscriber - found you during a search - for homesteading inspiration. Music, story telling, and humor is calming, educational, and entertaining. Thank you...
Congratulations!!! You should be extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished. And to have a partner that is ten toes behind you and helping you with the project every step of the way is the icing on the cake.
I love to see sisters and brothers homesteading. I'm a sister homesteading in North Carolina. I have a farm here. Good luck and we will follow yalls journey. Yay!!! Yall are so funny 😂❤.
Congratulations! This makes my heart smile. I’m a native Deep East Texan and my great-grandparents left us land as well! I’m encouraged to see if I can do something similar. Would love to chat more!
Just happened upon this video and subscribed. It is so wonderful to see families who leave legacies to the descendants. So glad you had help and good ideas to do the three domes and an additional structure for Bathroom and Kitchen. Can't wait to follow you from now on. Have a great week and see you in the next one.

Congratulations! Have so many questions about electric work. I'll be in North East Texas soon. I have 30 acres my Great Great Great grandmother left us over 100 years ago. Ben Wheeler here I come! ❤
As a southern conservative black woman this was so soothing to watch for both the aesthetic and more importantly watching black men build instead of complaining on microphones.
The first couple of minutes in I found myself crying. Like uncontrollably. My father passed away 2 years ago this month and he had a tractor the EXACT same beautiful blue color as yours. He too was in his 80’s and loved to be outside just doing things. Fixing things etc. I miss him so much, I can’t believe I got triggered so hard. My family is currently living in Texas, but we’re from the DMV. We are ready to move back home and the thing we miss the most is gardening. It’s tough here with the heat to grow things. I’m familiar with you from your travel vids and I’m glad I stumbled upon this video. This truly touched my soul. I have always loved your energy. Iam now a new subscriber and I thank you for sharing your journey. May God continue to bless you brother. You don’t know the power of your magnitude. Omg, thank you. ❤❤❤🙏🏽
I always watch videos like this and wondered why there weren't any with black people, coming from a predominantly black country myself I feel so happy for you guys and will gladly subscribe to your channel. You seem like such good people I can't help myself.
I've been a silent watcher since joining your channel sometime this year but OMG after watching this video I had to comment! This has to be the most impressive video, project, build, and all of that ... I've seen!!! The fact a Black family has successfully passed down land generations and it wasn't taken or sold away is impressive in itself. Now additionally, you are both building a whole (pretty much green) community on it to call it HOME. I love it!!! I had to check to ensure I was subscribed after watching this (I was) b/c I will def remain tuned in to what you both have in store next. Can't wait for the next adventure and for future podcast talks.
Well darlin', it doesn't look like you were ever 'alone' here. 😉But bravo, you all tucked in and got a whole lot done and that land looks beautiful, glad you embraced this opportunity!
What joy to see men working their land. I hope this continues as it gives hope of changing lifestyles for many people and lay the foundation for the next generation.
Your comment means the world to me. It's been a labor of love and I'm so grateful for the support and encouragement I've received along the way. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
So happy for you and Austyn. My wife and I LOVE East Texas, and it's great seeing this out there. While I love the direction your channel and social media accounts have taken, seeing a train video next week WILL be mighty dang snazzy! 😀
This is so awesome and inspiring. ❤ My grandfather left me some land and I want to do the same with it. You guys have motivated me to stop procrastinating and get it done
We are building in East Texas soon on land I acquired from my family in the piney woods. Would love to meet you all and learn from you. Thank you for sharing. I watched it all with a smile on my face.
What a testament to family, community, and legacy 🤗 congratulations, ans you look so much like your dad, grandmother, great gran, and great great grandmother 💛
Wow! My husband and I were blown away by this video. Congratulations on the completion of your dream. We look forward to some amazing vegan cooking videos from the homestead. By the way, does the homestead have a name?
I cannot tell you both how amazingly wonderful to see what all your hardwork has accomplished. Your family was so wise to keep the land and to pass it down. No doubt how proud they would be to see what you have done with the land. You have beautiful attitudes and great friends; anything can be accomplished with those elements. This was incredibly inspirational to watch. Well done!
Great video and job. I just subscribed and hit like button to your channel. My parents and grandparents were sharecroppers. They wanted their own land. When it was time pd off land landowners used excuses not to sell land. So I want give your parents great grandparents and their parents. A thank you award for keeping this land. I will be watching. Cheering your on. God bless
I have to add. You guys are fantastic for what you’ve been doing! The legacy and history. How amazing it is that your great great relatives had this to pass down and also worked so hard! I recommend you also look into rare seeds and plant those. Chat with sone of your native friends friends to revive the species. A lot of the seeds were hidden and revived from trail of tears history.
You guys have and are doing what all black people here in America should be doing, taking pride in what you later generations of ancestors left to you.
You just made your life very rich, maybe not in money but in knowledge and how to. I hope much of what you do turns that into a lovely permaculture home for the next 1000 years!
You guys are awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us!! I'm a new subscriber, and I look forward to new videos. Congratulations guys!!!

This is so exciting and encouraging, both that you kept your family land and didn't allow it to be sold off and second that you are using it for such an amazing venture. Legacy building for generations to come. I emailed you via Airbnb. Hope to hear back from you soon.
Thank you so much for watching. Also, didn't receive that email. The best way to contact us is at partnerships@willedmond.com or glampingremote@gmail.com
You are such a grounded, focused and industrious man who is not afraid to put in the work to accomplish your goals, no matter how big, and I commend you, my friend! Love from the West Indies. 🩷
What skillful family, I love the way you guys work together, I would love to have you guy come up to my place in Montana for a week to help me with a small project and a weeks worth of fun in between the project. Much Love for you too.
You know what!? We want to go and help other people and make cool videos. I’ve only been through Montana on Amtrak but we would love to visit someone there. Send me an email partnerships@willedmond.com - Thanks for watching!
By the grace of God we were asked to turn a forested piece of property in Maine into a market garden. We are doing a lot of the work with hand tools. We may bring in tractors through the winter to clear some of the bigger trees. I have been documenting our progress as well on my TH-cam channel.
That’s amazing. I was in Maine 2 years ago for the first time and it’s such a beautiful place. I’m wishing you the best Alec! I’ll have to check out what you’re doing. We need more people to get back to their roots.
This is a beautiful thing you are doing! I’m from Atlanta, living in Florida now…and I would love to do something like that…thanks for sharing the wealth❤
Hello, I just found you two gentleman & subscribed immediately. Y'all did that thang! The property is gorgeous; your parents & grandparents are proud. Great job on the electric. Hats off to the father who assisted. May God continue to bless you two. Much Love from Miami, Florida ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

You are such a grounded, focused and industrious man who is not afraid to put in the work to accomplish your goals, no matter how big, and I commend you, my friend! Love from the West Indies. 🩷

@@DonteeWeaver that’s amazing! You can definitely do it! If you need help on setting up glamping domes/tents let me know.
Congratulations on your new home.
