    You’re an awfully young guy to have to deal with this shit. But you handle it with grace and courage. You’re also lucky to have such a great supportive family. That means so much. Best of luck my friend.You’re making the best of a very bad hand.

    You are one tough guy. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope hope everything keeps going well. My heart goes out to you. I know it’s got to be a constant worry in the back of mind. I pray that you’re ok. Sending positive & hopeful vibes. Hope you keep us updated. My mom used to tell me the same thing. Prepare for worst hope for best. You deserve the best. Love to you & your lovely family.😊 yes kids need outdoors. I always take grandkids walking & park, bike rides. They love it. Good luck ❤😊 🍀

      Your mom sounds like a smart lady! 😄 I'm glad you agree, and glad yours get to experience it. It's mind blowing to me how many younger generation kids say they actually prefer seeing "nature" through the screen. They think everything they see in a video of picture is just the same as being in it. Sigh.... That's depressing.
      Thank you for the kind words. It truly means so much. Im as positive as I can be but can't help feeling a little defeated and worried about what's to come, just because of how things feel physically. Constant unrelenting pain is not a fun thing. Hoping for the best! Thank you again, God bless!

    Hi. It’s good to see you looking so well and doing so much better than your last update. I’ve heard that PTSD is common among patients who were on a ventilator. If you haven’t already, you should mention your experiences to your doctor. They may have suggestions for coping strategies and/or may refer you to a mental health specialist who can help you. I wish you the best and look forward to hearing an update when you are able.

    • @Teratoma-T
      @Teratoma-T  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for the feedback. Yes, it's EXTREMELY common for ICU patients, and the vent, but extended time in ICU, they tell me it's almost. Guaranteed to have some level of PTSD (there's specific terms but I can't recall exactly what they are). My short term memory is horrible after all the drugs and anesthesia. I haven't gotten any kind of referral to see anyone, but it may be needed explored if some of these things don't improve going forward.

    Oh hey, I have a scar across my stomach & wow it felt numb and so weird for a couple years. We appreciate you & all your information. You rock so never give up. 😊 I’m sorry you have nightmares about the ventilator. I know you’re helping people. ❤

      Years??? Wow. The human body is incredible. I'm well prepared for skin level numbness to be permanent, I was told it was very likely. The shortness of breathe, and literally feeling where the muscles were cut and how it's not the same is bothersome. Moving certain ways or picking things up it feels like I'm going to rip my chest in half. Lol. So kind of you to share

      @@Teratoma-T your so welcome. It was mostly the numbness that last. I don’t like the ripping open feeling. That part passed quickly. I sure hope yours stops feeling like that soon.

    I had a teratoma on my R ovary back in ‘76. It was discovered early in my second pregnancy and initially they were afraid that I had an ectopic pregnancy. The tumor was small at that time but by the time my son was only a few months old, it had grown to the size of a grapefruit. After some issues with the surgeon, I was finally admitted for surgery & the tumor was removed. I still wish I had been allowed to see it but my family doctor wouldn’t allow it. The most he would say was that because it was fast growing his main concern was that it was going to quickly become malignant.

    • @Teratoma-T
      @Teratoma-T  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well.... That's wild. Yes they're rather nasty. In one of my earlier videos on the "Mature Teratoma" playlist, I have pictures and video of it. Asked my surgeons to take pictures while inside my chest. Not for the faint of heart.

      @@Teratoma-T I’ll have to go back in the videos & find it. I’m in the middle of replacing a bathroom faucet & the old one’s not cooperating, so I was going thru videos for remedies & needing a break to allow my BP to come down, I came across your videos. You look good for all that you’ve been thru, but your surgery would be a far longer recovery than mine was. Take care💞

    • @OldNavyWife
      @OldNavyWife 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Teratoma-T incidentally, my family doctor told me after mine was examined in pathology, they all pretty much agreed that it was supposed to have been my identical twin but my body absorbed it early in my mom’s pregnancy. He said likely the hormones from pregnancy caused it to grow within me.

    • @Teratoma-T
      @Teratoma-T  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OldNavyWife I've heard that theory.... Which is kind of terrifying to me. I personally don't know if I had a situation like that, as my mother never even had an ultrasound done when I was brewing. But my daughter had the same type of disappearing twin. Which mortifies me, as I can't even imagine having to watch her experience anything like I did. I wish I knew for sure, or had more clear answers to that. Hopefully she'll dodge that bullet.
